Happy Friday the 13th!

When the going gets tough, the tough
1. Go shopping!

I had a button once that said that very thing ... Wonder whatever happened to it?

For those of you that have them ,which is your card of choice
Discover. There are still a handful of places that don't take it (for instance, Discover doesn't discount its fees for nonprofits like Visa and Mastercard do), so then I have my trusty Visa.

Have any of our QOTD family had any weird, strange or "que the "Twilight Zone" theme song" Friday the 13th experiences ?
I got fired from my first job on Friday, August 13, 1982. Asshats.

I consider myself an "autodidact" when it comes to:
1. Looking this word up in the dictionary! LOL

Today in History:
1637 - Cardinal Richelieu of France creates the table knife

And he probably ate off it, too, instead of using his fork.

Today is:
National Fruit Cocktail Day

Fruit cocktail is really yummy when it's fresh and not canned!

Today's Question(s):
lol When the going gets tough, the tough
1. eat chocolate, of course!

Inquiring Minds Question:
Let's talk about Credit Cards Okay.
For those of you that have them, which is your card of choice
Visa?
Mastercard?
Discover?
American Express?
I almost always use my VISA debit card. Sometimes I use Discover, though, for the cash-back reward. I have regular VISA and Mastercards, and a few department store cards as well, but I rarely used them and I pay off the balance as soon as I get the bill. I've never had an AmEx card.

Bonus Question:
Yikes I just realized it is Friday the 13th I like Friday the 13th! I just think of it as a lucky day. (Just call me Pollyana.)
Have any of our QOTD family had any weird, strange or "que the "Twilight Zone" theme song" Friday the 13th experiences? Nope.
rofl how many of you just said to yourself
"What in the world is the "Twilight Zone theme song" ? Do do do do, do do do do . . .

Extra Credit Question:
I consider myself an "autodidact" when it comes to:
1. playing guitar
2. cooking
3. learning contract law for my job

Just for Fun:
This discussion came up last night.
Which do you prefer when handling personal business communications:
Phone?
or
Email?
Definitely e-mail. If I hate telephones with a passion. If I can ever get out of making a phone call, I'll take whatever alternative is available! Plus, in business, with e-mails you have written records of the information that was exchanged.

Word of the Day:
autodidact \aw-toh-DY-dakt\ , noun;
1. One who is self-taught.

Today is:
National Fruit Cocktail Day That canned crap? I like fresh fruit, but not that stuff that's canned and all the different pieces of fruit taste the same and have a yucky texture. Blecch. Ptooey. Ca-ca.
Cough Drop Day I haven't had one of these for many years. I used to like the honey ones.
I Just Called to Say I Love You Day Awwwwwww, isn't that special?
National Babysitter's Day Babysitter's what?
Tulip Day I LOVE tulips! I have lots blooming in my yard right now, and have a big bouquet of them on my desk at work.
Credit Card day Don't run up your balance!

Happy, happy Friday, everybody!

1. call in the Seals.
2. break out the liquor.
3. round up the troops.

For those of you that have them ,which is your card of choice
Visa ? Capital One Miles One (for free air miles).

rofl how many of you just said to yourself

I consider myself an "autodidact" when it comes to:
1. Home improvement
2. Golf (until I started taking lessons).
3. Cooking.

Which do you prefer when handling personal business communications
Phone ?
or
Email ? This, unless time is of the element.

Happy Friday everyone!

When the going gets tough, I take a drive somewhere.
I have mastercard, I know its silly but it seems banks and credit card companies seem to push visa more than give you a choice.
Im not superstitous so today is just another work day for me.
And I love piano keyboards and cooking.
Fruit cocktail and Dream Whip....yummy!
