Um phil.....you could have at least told me you were making me ring leader...I would have loved to be around for the honoraries
There's an old Taoist story that I think fits in here nicely...
Two monks are walking along a path. They come to a shallow river where the bridge has been washed out, and they find a beautiful young lady weeping.
"I have an appointment in the city over the bridge, and now I'll be late, and I won't have work. Oh, what will I do?" Upon hearing this, the senior monk takes the girl upon his shoulders and crosses the river, depositing her there. She gives her thanks and hurries off, and the two monks resume their journey.
After several miles, the younger monk can no longer contain himself, and blurts out "Brother, we are monks, sworn to chastity, and should not even touch a woman, much less carry a beautiful one! WHY did you do that?"
And the elder monk replied without missing a step- "I left that girl back at the river - why are YOU still carrying her?"
