Hey, guys, I opened this thread to see what people like better. The 12 hour time or the 24 hour time. I really wanted to see what people are used to in telling time. I changed my ways this year by going from the AM/PM time to the 24 hour time. I figured it will be better for me to say "14:25" instead of 2:15 PM because my friend uses it and I like felling smart.

What do you prefer?

I've always used military time working with computers, but I don't really have a preference, either one works fine for me.

I guess I prefer the AM/PM clock, because when I read say 19.00, my brain automatically has to think 12 + what = 19? So, even though it's no biggie to do the sum, the fact that my brain immediately recognises that 7.00pm is dinner time, but doesn't have the same immediate recognition with 19.00 says a lot!

International time confuses me. I'm in Thailand right now, so anything that passes 12 pm is confusing to me. LOL.

We use a 24 hour system at the hospital. I have lived with it for the past 14 or so years. I am fine with either way though.

I'm the same way ... Having to do the subtraction to get the PM times just creates confusion ... Unfortunately, my caller ID is set to military time!

I got used to the 24 hour from being in the military and in Europe for 3 years. Either way works for me but when someone says 8 oclock you don't have to wonder if they're refering to AM or PM.

We use military time at work. So that's easy for me now.

But InRealLife I prefer regular time so I don't constantly have to explain it.
