We are so diverse here in the US, with climate & geography etc. Where in your state is your favorite place that highlights the beauty of the area?

And what stands out as special-maybe desert cacti? Location-specific trees or flowers? Endangered bird/animal species??

Of course it might be your own backyard!

Actually, it is my back yard.

I have a pool and an 8-foot stockade fence. The back yard is like a primordial jungle with banana trees. I love it out there. It's really lovely and so serene.

I have bluebonnets (the state flower) growing among the vines.

I do have to stay on top of it or it would go completely wild.

There are a lot of beautiful places in the USA, but the one area I find most spectacular is the mountain areas of Colorado, Utah and Arizona. If you've ever been to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and surrounding areas you'll know what I mean.

I've lived in The James River Valley, my entire life. I'll share a winter picture.
