I really enjoyed everyone's responses today! You guys are funny! I have cloth seats, so I'm good, but I'm one of those weird people that loves the feel of getting into a baking hot car! Of course, then I turn the air on and I don't live in Texas. Hubby was looking at cars on the internet. One had interior color called "peanut butter." Truthfully, it made me want to eat peanut butter.
Loved the tip. I have had a few kids that were more than a little upset whent they tried putting their seat belts on. I will have to remember to keep something in the car to cover up the seats and the seat belts. LOL
I crack the windows while the AC is on.....then after a minute or so.....I can touch the steering wheel.
Every year I say I'm going to buy a steering wheel cover, but never do.
Great tip Ms Tipster. We give this same info to all newcomers to the desert area right away. It only takes a few minutes to get very hot 120F and around 15-20 minutes to reach 180F or more in the summer here.
