I'm glad ugga made it through the storm, safely...when we hadn't heard anything, I was a little worried..
thank you for your concern. no major worries aside from a bunch of fallen branches, some blocked roads, and thousands of green acorns knocked prematurely onto my lawn. i was surprised that i didn't lose my electric, even for a second
How much is NOT having to dress up for work worth to you?
A LOT! I don't "dress up". My business is in my home, and involves appointments to measure houses, checking out crawl spaces, basements, and attics. Certainly, I don't wear a dress or skirt! Nothing worse than a 76 year old woman doing my job in a dress or skirt! LOL
Well, I work in a bakery and I think a business suit or dress with heels would clash with my apron, hat and gloves.
I've never wanted a job where I had to dress up. Unless of course it involved me accepting the award for best actress in a movie at the Academy Awards Ceremony.
I've had jobs where I wore jeans and a cotton shirt to work and came home every night really dirty (truck driving and machine shop work). I've also had jobs that required a uniform, e.g., military and agricultural port officer.
My last two jobs required dress shoes/boots, a dress shirt with a tie, dress pants and a suit coat if you had to meet with anyone of significance. I never enjoyed wearing my class and rank on my shirt sleeve in the military but I never minded any of the written, and unwritten, dress codes at my civilian work places.
However, it sure is nice now to not have to think of what I have to put on each morning.
I can go either way, but I do enjoy dressing up, simply because I feel better about it!
