Many people online sometimes relax their grammar but are ok with it in "real life."
In any case, if I ever make a mistake, feel free to print it out to me.

I've seen this several times on this forum. We had one person call another on it and the guy swore he was right ...and that he had a doctorate.

I was just reading a thread in the TX forum started by an Italian woman asking about local restaurants and apologizing for her broken English (which, BTW, she shouldn't have to apologize for...it's native English speakers I'm slamming here)
And someone replies to her "Don't worry, you're English is fine."
Seriously!
p.s. This thread was only targeting the misspelling of "ridiculous". Don't even get me started on the whole there/there/their conundrum and apostrophe-itis.

I can deal with words not spelled correctly much better than I can with the total abuse of grammar.

Some great pet peeves of mine on forums:
- Using they're, their, and there incorrectly
- "I seen" instead of "I saw"
I bite my tongue (fingers) because I really REALLY want to correct these things.

Does that mean if someone does not have perfect english you want them to stay off the forum?
