Default Today's Question Monday, 17 October 2011

Good morning, all, and how are you on this bright and beautiful day? I am your new Monday Question of the Day host, and I will do my best to live up to the fine example that Karla has set over the past four years. She left some big shoes to fill, but hopefully I can provide you all with a bit of fun and conversation to start each week. So thank you very much for stopping by and answering:

Today’s Question(s):

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual?

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household?

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all?

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset?

Why?

Bonus Question:

Have you ever taken a family portrait?

If you have, how recently did you have it taken?

If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future?

Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out?

Just for Fun:

How many icons do you have on your computer screen?

How many of those icons are ones you use regularly?

Today In History:
1091 – The London Tornado: a tornado thought to be of strength F4 strikes the heart of London, England

1814 – The London Beer Flood: vats containing some 323,000 imperial gallons of beer rupture and flood the area around the Meux & Co. Brewery on Tottenham Court Road, killing eight people
1860 – The first British Open Golf Championship is played at Prestwick Golf Club in Ayrshire, Scotland
1931 – Al Capone is convicted of income tax evasion
1956 – The world’s first commercial nuclear power station is officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in Cumbria, England

Today’s Question(s):
How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual?
Mine? One shampoo.
Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household?
Fewer than some.
When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all?
I take. Some fragrances make me sneeze. If the hotel shampoo has such a fragrance, I don't want to spend the trip sneezing from my own hair.

Extra Credit Question:
Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset? Why?
If I have to choose one over the other?

I'll take the sunset because the colors are usually more numerous and bolder.

Bonus Question:
Have you ever taken a family portrait?
Sure.
If you have, how recently did you have it taken?
Been a while since anything formal. Otherwise just home photography.
If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future?
Not at present.
Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out?
Yes. I have been guilty of that type of thing myself when younger.

Just for Fun:
How many icons do you have on your computer screen?
44
How many of those icons are ones you use regularly?
About 10

Hope your day makes you want to sing and dance.

Today’s Question(s):

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual?
3 standard items (soap, shampoo, conditioner) plus and a special conditioner I'm supposed to use once a month, but usually forget.

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household?
No others in my household.

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all?
I take them all, but in smaller, travel-sized, containers.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset?
A spectacular sunset

Why?
I'm not a morning person!

Bonus Question:

Have you ever taken a family portrait?
Nope

If you have, how recently did you have it taken?

If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future?
Nope. I have plenty of normal photos of my daughter and me.

Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out?
Not since my daughter was little!

Just for Fun:

How many icons do you have on your computer screen?
Too many to count

How many of those icons are ones you use regularly?
About half a dozen.

Have a great week everyone!

Looks like bjh and Kobber beat me to the first spots this morning, but it looks like I beat them to actually answering the questions first. lol

Today’s Question(s):

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual? One body wash and one shampoo

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household? My wife also uses conditioner

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all? Smaller bottles of both.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset? Both

Why? Love seeing both of them.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever taken a family portrait? Yup

If you have, how recently did you have it taken? My wife and I took one 10 years ago right before we got married. She's the only "family" I've lived with for a long time. lol

If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future? I want another one, but she's allergic to being in front of a camera.

Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out? Nope

Just for Fun:

How many icons do you have on your computer screen? 22

How many of those icons are ones you use regularly? Maybe 7 or 8.

Today’s Question(s):

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual?
I try to keep it simple but I have very curly hair so I am always trying some new shampoo or conditioner to manage my curls. Other then that I have a generic body wash that I love the smell..a leave-in conditioner for my hair a foot scrub and a mixture of 1 to 2 of lotion and baby oil just before I get out.

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household?
I am the only one that showers in my home...

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all?
I take them all

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset?
A spectacular sunset..
Why?
Because I am awake enough to fully enjoy it.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever taken a family portrait?
When my kids were young I had a subscription with Olan Mills so I have several...
If you have, how recently did you have it taken?
Not for a very long time...1995??
If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future?
Probably not..can't get them all together at the same time. My children are very spread out.
Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out?
Yes, all of them except the youngest..she is reserved and wouldn't think of doing such a thing.

Today’s Question(s):

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual?
Just a bottle of the cheapest shampoo I can find. I don't know if I use a unguent. That should have been the word of the day

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household?
Nancy always had her hair done by others so we just had mine.

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all?
And there you have the reason for long lines at airports. Why would you take anything? Hotels have shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I don't know about unguents but most destinations have stores to buy what you need. Ship leftovers back. you're going to need them eventually anyway.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset?

This is the sun setting at Sunset Beach, Cape May NJ. We vacationed there every year when I was a kid. The thing sticking out of the bay is a concrete ship that ran aground there. It looked like this when I was a kidd

Why?
Not many nights I have had to wake up to see the sunset

Bonus Question:

Have you ever taken a family portrait?
Yes

If you have, how recently did you have it taken?

If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future?

Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out?

Just for Fun:

a bunch

How many of those icons are ones you use regularly?

Good morning Everyone! Happy Monday...

Today’s Question(s):

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual? not many, just shampoo/conditioner, and soap

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household? I think the same

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all? I usually just use the soap that's in the hotel bathroom, but I usually bring my own shampoo.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset? sunrise!

Why? Well, I'm an early bird, really, and a glorious sunrise means it's the beginning of another glorious day.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever taken a family portrait? no, but my mother would like us to

If you have, how recently did you have it taken?

If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future? possibly, but someone else will have to tend to the details

Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out? no

Just for Fun:

How many icons do you have on your computer screen? just a couple

How many of those icons are ones you use regularly? all of them

Have a great day!

Good morning. Thank you MBW for doing the Monday QOD

How many different cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, enhancers, lotions and unguents are part of your shower ritual? Shampoo and conditioner always. Sometimes I will use the shampoo for soap, sometimes I have a separate liquid soap. I shave in the shower so I also have my razor and shaving gel. After the shower, it's some powder and moisturizer.

Do you use more, fewer or the same number of shower products as the others in your household? More

When you travel, do you reduce the number of shower products you take with you, or do you take them all? I have small bottles to use so I take it all

Do you prefer a glorious sunrise or a spectacular sunset? A spectacular sunset

Why? I'm always awake for that

Have you ever taken a family portrait? I don't have a family except for my hubby's so not since I was a kid.

If you have, how recently did you have it taken? 40 years ago

If you haven’t, do you plan to get one done in the future? No

Is there anyone in your family who can be relied upon to make a face, stick out a tongue or put “bunny ears” on someone else any time the camera comes out? Nope.

How many icons do you have on your computer screen? 9

How many of those icons are ones you use regularly? 5
