Brrr! Cold again!

Good morning peevers.

Off to buy sockets, lights etc today and last night I had another clear out of part of the kitchen, this time the flipping spices.

I thought I'd done that a while back but what needed ditching was embarrassing.

We have had a peeve about that before, but I'll take a different slant on it today.

You buy a product, maybe because it says it's needed for a particular recipe, and what happens? You use a pinch of it and the rest sits there for years and goes to waste.

Today's POTD;

The cost and waste of little used products.

Yep, you have to narrow down a list of spices you use most. I'd love to have fresh herbs on hand but there's no such animal unless you have an herb garden. Our spice cabinet is so full even after the wife paid 40 bucks for two little slide out gadgets. Women .. Stuff falls out everywhere when I open the door.

See! This is why I don't cook!! I'm not going to spend all that money on a few items to find out we didn't like it anyway.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

You're supposed to throw out spices after they've been on the shelf for decades???? I didn't know that.

Good one.

And why are there 8 hot dog buns in a package and "7" hot dogs in a package?

Speaking of...I want to know why we don't have half cake mixes and half frosting.
