Felt like posting an ocean picture today. I took this one in Galveston in March 2010 from the balcony of a gift shop that is on a pier out over the water. It's nearly sunset and the moon is already out. This is facing kind of southeast so the sun is setting to your right. A ship is in the offing. It's that little blip on the horizon.
Awesome picture! Did a double take because it reminded me of one I took the first time I went to Bocas.
Have a great day everyone! We're rolling towards the weekend
Today's Question: What's your favorite morning beverage? Diet Coke with Splenda What do you like to do while drinking it? Answering the QotD!
Bonus Question: The huge, blockbuster movie Titanic is being re-released in 3D on Wednesday, April 4th. Are you planning on seeing it? You bet cha. Why or why not?I love history, and have always been interested in this story, and the Carpathia, which picked up survivors. I had family members who actually remembered when the real thing happened. My grandmother would tell the story and cry, making it real for me. I felt connected to it. I do love Rose's defiance, but I like to wonder about the other cameo characters.
Foodie Question: What kind of pickles do you like? Yes Dill Sweet Sour Bread 'n butter Relishes Other I have yet to eat a pickle I didn't like.
Just for fun: On TV or in books, who is your favorite detective? I find detectives to be creepy. They always "just happen" to be where the body is. Jessica Fletcher is the creepiest! Being a mystery writer, she knew how to cleanly pin it on someone else! But if I gotta pick, I'll say Monk, or Columbo.

Reminds me of when we were on a whale-watcing tour off the coast of Nova Scotia. I could see the curve of the earth, and there were a few tiny ships on the horizon. Made me understand the significance of when Walter Winchell(?) would say "Good night America, and all the ships at sea." Thanks for the photo, and for the questions!
Almost forgot...hubby says you're all wrong. How yellow is seven? The correct answer is...davenport.

Nice pic. bjh. I see Galveston has been rebuilt since Hurricane Ike devastated it a few years ago. Wiped the beach area clean and destroyed the lower floors of the big Medical Center there. I don't know if it's at full operation again or not. I went to school there in the 1950's.
