It’s just one of those days when you’re out to enjoy a meal at the restaurant and things happen. Little things like you want coffee with cream, and the only creamers are those little individual serving sizes. So you start the process and try to open it by removing the foil cover to dump the cream into your coffee. For some reason it isn’t working, and you can’t get it started, each time you find a corner of the foil to peel back to get to the contents it breaks or won’t open. You try the other side and the same thing occurs.

There is no end to this nightmare,,,, if not the creamers it’s the small jelly tubes or the cups of butter. For some reason these individual serving sizes just can’t be opened by customers.

Companies don’t make easy to open packaging for some reason. Why?

I was having that same problem last night with a little pudding cup. I couldn't get a good enough hold on that flap part to open it, it was very aggravating.

Oh ...don't get me started on customer proof packaging. On top of this the last couple months I think I'm losing my hand/eye coordination. That ...or someone keeps moving things an 1/8" as I'm grabbing for them.

Either I do that or use my teeth wherever possible. I just can't open anything otherwise.

Would you believe... here in Texas, it's against the law to carry or possess a lock blade knife. I imagine ER's are full of patients holding their fingers.

Mrs Aks when finished at a restaurant one day walked by the cashier and took several of those individually wrapped toothpicks for later and stuck them in her purse. Now these are wrapped with “clear see-through plastic wrap. And you guessed it,,,, she couldn’t get the wooden pick out of that plastic wrap.

Who spends the time to invent these maddening items?

A couple of years ago, while in Las Vegas, I bought myself a couple of nice Van Heusen sweat shirt type tops. I was wearing one the plane ride home. I was having a coffee, and had a couple of those little milk containers they give you. I always struggle to open them. You guessed it, I broke the seal wrong, and milk flew on my nice new sweatshirt. I cleaned it the best I could, but ended up with a permanent stain on it. Why are those little milk containers so hard to open?

Your comments are all familiar.

The package that gets to me is the flimsy cellophane
You have to peel the cellophane in order to cook in the microwave

Long story short the cellophane will not come off in one easy pull

It just seems as if the cellophane could easily be missed and eaten.

Another concern is the ring around the milk carton.

I drink from the jug since its just me drinking the milk
and I always look at the ring now as a choking hazard.

Guess i need to discard the ring now prior to drinking the milk.
