I like it. I had a cousin named Maxwell and he was always known that way, not as Max. He was fun and sorta sexy, quite masculine, a little hippy-ish and open minded. He served, started his own successful business, invented a hearing aide, and wrote a book! Maxwell also makes me remember Maxwell Caulfield - he was a hot young actor at one time. I love names like yours that are less common/more unique.
