I'm lucky to have a magnolia tree in my front garden, which is covered in beautiful blossoms just now. We have peanut feeders hanging in the tree, plus a bird table in front of it, which we put food on, and a stone water thingy for the birds to drink from. All just a few yards from the lounge window. So, I can sit, and watch the various birds come eat and drink. It's nice and relaxing to watch them.
As noted in PJ's #1, I saw many kinds of birds in my yard in Dallas since I gave them feeders and water. Below is the view from my condo here in Florida but I never see anything except squirrels, a wandering raccoon and sometimes a hawk circling for something interesting. All the trees and bushes are in a muddy "pond" peppered with lily pads and then the lake. Haven't seen an alligator yet but it won't be a surprise if one lurks the grounds. But no birds, just a few hunting hawks.
I don't need to watch birds, they watch me. I meant - my car. They are great observers too, with a healthy dose of sadism.
I watch them, yeah... their pleasure when they poop on my shiny, cleanly washed car...
The worst in my area is when the mulberry trees have fruit. No one is safe from purple bomings.

So Pam, are you saying if I dump my garbage in the middle of the yard and water it down I'll see a lot of birds...
Um, not exactly, nitram.
