There is the sweetest little girl that lives across the street from me. For Christmas she left a box of dog biscuits, wrapped in dog paw print paper, on my front porch for my dogs. The other day I heard a little knock at the door and it was her and she gave me a little plastic baggy with one frosted cookie in it and I asked her if she made these today and if she was selling them. She said, "No, we made them yesterday, this is just the last one and I wanted you to have it." I'm not sure she is even in 1st grade, but she is the smartest and kindest little girl I have ever known.
I work with a dog rescue organization and several Christmases ago a woman approached me at one of our adoption events and she had a small boy with her. He was given Christmas money every year and she told me that he decided he wanted to buy a toy for every dog in the adoption program. I almost shed a tear it was so sweet and unselfish.
Special hugs for those two wonderful kids!

Several years ago my sisters and I were at a park called Kingsley Lake with some friends.
One if the other girls and I decided to race each other across the lake. Didn't work out so good. We both got tangled up in something under the water and we couldn't get loose.
Suddenly, there was this guy in the water, cutting us free and he managed to get both of us back to shore safely.
I don't know who he was, all I know is that he was stationed at NAS-Jacksonville. He wouldn't tell us his name or even let me replace his ruined watch.

He was more than kind, he was a hero.
Instead of Valentine's Day there should be just a 'love' day for everyone who has done an act of kindess and love like that. There is a man that came to my rescue in a way and it's been 10 years and I often still think of him and considered writing a letter to the editor around Valentine's Day about this.
My first dog got loose and I was out desperately trying to find her. I pulled out of a side street and saw the police car lights down the street and immediately started bawling, I knew it was her. I got to the scene and a group of people had gathered and it was getting dark out. She lay there lifeless in a pool of blood and I knelt down on the ground and I whispered through my tears that I loved her, that I was so so so sorry and kissed her cheek. During this, out of the corner of my eye I saw this man run to his car and come back with this beautiful Amish Quilt to cover her up. This wasn't a cheap blanket. When I saw him do this I thought it was because he hit her and I scooped her up and took her home. She was burried in that blanket.
It turns out that man didn't hit her, but a delivery truck. This made me think of this man even more. It was dark out by the time he did it so, I wouldn't even recognize him if I saw him. I wish I could find him or knew who he was so I could thank him for such a lovely gesture and unconditional act of love and kindness to a stranger.

That was such a bittersweet story. Now, I'm all teary eyed.
People can say that humanity is going to hell in a handbasket all they want. I don't believe it for a minute. There are just too many kind and wonderful people out there to ever let that happen!

Needed to pick up some things from the mini-super and since I don't have another car yet (or my old cab driver list) was going to walk down. Needed quite a few things, but since I was going to walk was just going to get bare essentials.
Anyway, it was getting ready to rain (it is now) and my new landlord threw me the keys to his truck and told me I could use it - to just ask him anytime I needed to run an errand. Was able to get pretty much everything I needed right now. Thought that was real nice of him

That was very nice! Let's hope he doesn't want something in return for his freebie truck! Just sayin' ...............
Ohh...I love kindness stories.....
I got to paying forward a couple times this past month...I found a woman's wallet in the seat part of a grocery cart early one morning last week. I took down her name and address before I took it into the store. Turned it in to the manager then went to work. I looked up her number and called to tell her where it was.
Also I always try to help people in the electric carts at the store reach the higher up stuff...when I had to use one, a lot of people would help me and I appreciated it.
Kindness to me? I usually buy dog food, cat food and litter all at once. I was so tired one of the trips and some young man helped me get all my bulky items in the SUV.
There are many more.
Human beings are 93 and a one half percent good...The rest are damaged children in adult bodies..You can be kind to them and they will never appreciate it..which is real kindness...something that is not done for emotional profit....
Was wondering about the old British noble title..."Your Grace"...............then I looked up the old meaning of the word..."The undeserved mercy of God."..............I guess real nobility and class is to show kindness not only to those that deserve it but to those that don't.
