People can come up with the biggest, stuppidest lies, for many reasons. People lie to get a jobs, to impress other people, to take advantage of others and believe it or not, some people actually lie because they like to lie. What big lies have you heard lately?

thank you so much for asking.
the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
so i did the internet dating thing. met a gal in nashville tn
did the whole thing 1st email then photos then phone so she wanted me to visit. i asked for a video she said no. so i show up in nashville at a white castle hamburger stand. here she is. a one eyed hunchback. she had been careful to only take pictures of her good side without the back profile.
i said not a word wined and dined her and left very very early in the morning never to come back. i visited my uncle in memphis for rest of trip.
you asked for it.

Oh, I admit I've never had much luck when it comes to women. Oh, I've run with a few, but nothing you could call serious. Except maybe that little gal down in Sonora. She said right out that she wanted to marry me. She told everybody... everybody but her husband. Oh, he came within an inch of doing me with a scatter gun. That taught me a lesson though - always check the brand to make sure you aren't driving another man's stock.

Ten years ago I worked with a woman who told exceptional stories of all the amazing events in her life. Apparently just a few years prior her ex-husband tried to kill her by bashing her skull in with a sledgehammer, leaving her in a coma for months and putting him in prison on death row. Looking at her, I found this hard to believe. She also once went for a ride in a small private airplane and they left Earth's atmosphere and experienced zero gravity effects. The best story was her trip down to the Titantic in a submarine, "but it was so dark we couldn't really see anything".

I saw her stealing merchandise from our store, told the manager, and then she didn't work there anymore.

I see there are quite a few sentimental ones...

How about an EX saying the word "what"...and then following it up with..."don't you trust me"??? .... five words I despise! ....lol

"I love you"

"I'm sorry"

"I never meant to hurt you"

"I'll do ANYTHING to make it right"

"I don't remember ever saying / doing that"

"That's an old dry cleaning receipt... I haven't seen her since..."

"Trust me"

"I never..."

Based upon this list you'd maybe think I was cold, jaded, & unhappy - not the case (okay, maybe a bit jaded, but still the eternal optimist). At nearly 40, I believe I've taken just about every "wrong turn" a person can take - guess I've had to learn the hard way (at least in my teens & 20's - I've wised up in my 30's - THANK GOD). Thankfully, all those lies tend to make for great storytelling now...
