Vaccines for polio, small pox, etc
I must add on more modern technology. Laser eye surgery. I recently had a cancer removed from my right eye. centuries ago I would have went blind.

Today's Questions:

Are there any items from the vast array of today's technological wonders
that you wish had been invented years, decades or even centuries earlier?

If so, which items would those be?

Gosh, that's a tough one. I would say penicillin. But, then in a way, there would be about three times as many people in the world. So would that be a good choice?

Or do you feel they would have been just modern conveniences and would simply have
been more advanced had they been invented earlier?

No, this invention would probably have changed history by preventing The Black Death that killed more than half of Europe's population in the 14th century.

Bonus Questions:

What 3 songs would be included on a soundtrack of your life?

Wow. What good questions these are. I would need awhile to think about that.

Just for Fun
So speaking of technology, I stumbled across this very bizarre site tonight

Would you rather:

Be stuck in an elevator with 3 large wet dogs or
2 obese men with bad breath?

Hmmmm, I wonder if this is Mike's question?

Would you rather:
Dip your finger in acid or
Have your big toes chewed off by camels

Neither one, thank you very much.

Would you rather:

Eat fried chicken that had fallen on a dirty floor or
Del Monte canned spinach at a table

I'd eat the Del Monte spinach. Is it really that bad?

I wish I had the digital video cameras they have these days so I could have recorded my kids growing up on one of those instead of the old tapes.

Do you feel that mankind would be better off today had those items been invented earlier?
No, not so much better off, it's just a convenience factor.

Bonus Questions:

Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
Get Over It - The Eagles
You're My Best Friend - Queen

The 3 dogs, for sure. I'd rather smell wet dog than bad breath! Being a dog-person, wet-dog smell doesn't bother me at all. I'm used to it.

Would you rather:

Gee, some choice! I'll take the acid, as long as it's a really, really quick dip!

Would you rather:
Eat fried chicken that had fallen on a dirty floor or
Del Monte canned spinach at a table
The spinach! Eating off a dirty floor would make me barf.

On technological wonders, a lot of people mentioned medical break-throughs and wished they came about earlier, and I tend to agree with those people.

that you wish had been invented years, decades or even centuries earlier? Yes.

If so, which items would those be? The microwave oven.

Do you feel that mankind would be better off today had those items been invented earlier? Not really.

Or do you feel they would have been just modern conveniences and would simply have
been more advanced had they been invented earlier? Just easier to heat up stuff.

Bonus Questions:

What 3 songs would be included on a soundtrack of your life? Cocaine, Stronger, and You Don't Know Me.
