I don't know if I've ever noticed one, but I've definitely seen some first dates out there, not sure if they were online first dates.
I've been on a million online dating-site first dates to know how they all go. The excitement is gone, they're all the same, it's a pointless process....not sure why I'd want to watch someone else go through that boring process. It would be like wanting to eavesdrop on someone reading a book out loud.
I've never done it b/c situation hasn't cropped up, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to help myself from eavsdropping. I am nosy like that.
It happened to me a few months ago at a cafe and it really made me all nervous and quiet since I like my privacy. My date and I went out several more times after that so I guess I didn't mess up that bad.
I don't have to do this....I have lived it! Blah. I'm glad it's over. All the, what are you looking for, what do you like to do, have you always lived here questions.
damn right. They want privacy, go somewhere private. Otherwise you are a live tv show to me and if I have popcorn, I'm munching on it.
ha! too funny
but seriously, you don't go somewhere that's not in a public place on a FIRST date with anybody you met off the interwebs. It's got to be in a public place around people because they could be a psycho killer (to the tune of the Talking Heads Song: "fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa"). Otherwise nobody would see if you had to run run run run run run run awayyyyyyy.
You simply should occupy your ears with other things to listen to.
I've never eavesdropped on anyone else, but I'm sure I've probably been eavesdropped on. That's why I always feel uncomfortable having first meetings at coffee shops. The ones I go to are too small and cramped.
