Morning y’all
. . . . . Didja Know?
Eddie Adcock, a professional 5 string banjoist, played his banjo throughout
his open brain surgery.

During the surgery, as the doctor probed through Adcock's brain he would ask
"Does that feel any better?" and over the noise in the operating room there
was the twang of lightning-fast banjo picking when the doctor hit just the right
spot. The surgeons placed an electrode into Adcock's thalamus and connected it
to a type of pacemaker.

Just hours after a follow up appointment where the doctor demonstrated how the
device worked, Adcock took to the stage to rejoin his wife who plays bluegrass guitar

Amazing story. Wouldn't it be nice if various talents of our own choosing could be implanted into our brains.
