The dashes don't bother me and I have noticed that you maintain correct punctuation with all the dashes. Kudos! Instead of spacing you're dashing and it works fine with my eyes. If I had to work around the machine problem you're having, my pinkie would keep tapping = instead of - since = is in just the right pinkie spot.
You should see emails I receive from a cousin. There's no punctuation or capital letters even with first person "I" and all sentences run together. With most of it I'm not sure what she's trying to say since it's babbling. I've never mentioned it and never will. She has a variety of physical issues so it could be from medications.
^^Thanks Kitty, that makes me feel better. But this library machine is great. I have to wait till I get back from Cyprus to sort things out. I don't want Judy's mother having to deal with phone calls from internet people asking questions.
We worked together and were friends. He had an incredible attraction to me, but I was still married to my first husband, if in name only. That marriage had fallen apart beyond repair and the last thing I entertained was jumping from the pot into the frying pan. I was a mess. I also was not attracted to my friend at all. But he gave me support through my process (divorce, and the need to live alone for awhile), and in time my feelings deepened past friendship. We've been together for 29 years.

When I was way younger I had a friend that married and had a child with someone abusive who also cheated on her. There was a guy we worked with that fell in love with her but wouldn't carry on an affair until divorce proceedings were in the works. She kept dragging her feet and he got frustrated so he went away for the weekend with another girl. It gave her the wake up call she needed and she filed for divorce. Her soon to be ex didn't know where I lived at the time so guess who's apt. they met at a couple of times a week? I had so many lunches on my front porch or had to make alternative plans if their cars were there. They are still married today and just had their second grandchild and we are still the best of friends.
