Today is my last day in Chicago. Maybe the weather will be nice for once. Seems every time I come to Chicago it rains and is cold. Tomorrow I hop the train and head to Denver.

Today’s Question:

What was the last electrical/electronic item that broke down at your place?
Hmmmm...My TV is over 25 years old. My clock radio is about 30 years old. My VCR is only around 15 years old. My DVD player is a youngster at about 12 years old. Everything in the kitchen has been around since the beginning of time. I guess the only thing remotely electrical that has broke down would be the occassional lightbulb.

Did you get it repaired, or did you buy a new one?
Have you ever tried to repair a lightbulb? My fat fingers just are not going to try to rewire a lightbulb.

Extra Credit Question:

Doris the Deluxe Dinner Fairy will bring you any 3-course dinner your heart desires, regardless of cost or local availability of ingredients. What will you choose for …

Starter/Appetiser:
Crab stuffed mushroom caps
Shrimp cocktail

Main:
Caribou stew with peas, potatos, onions, and mushrooms.
Tossed green salad
Just out of the oven still warm bread

Dessert:
Cheesecake with wild blueberries and a scoop of ice cream on the side

Bonus Question:

Do you take any vitamin supplements? If yes, what do you take?
When I remember to I take a daily multi vitamin.

Just for Fun:

Today is No Socks Day. Roughly how many pairs of socks do you own?
I have maybe 7 or 8 pairs that do not embarrass me when I take my shoes off to go thru screening at the airport. If you count all of the pairs with holes in them I must have a couple dozen pairs.

Today’s Question:

What was the last electrical/electronic item that broke down at your place?
Oh, hm, ummm..... I don't remember.
Did you get it repaired, or did you buy a new one?
Since I can't remember it was most likely something smallish/not expensive & I would have bought a new one.

Extra Credit Question:

Doris the Deluxe Dinner Fairy will bring you any 3-course dinner your heart desires, regardless of cost or local availability of ingredients. What will you choose for …

Starter/Appetiser:
Main:
Dessert:
Having not been awake for long I'm not hungry. I'm sure later, after reading what other people want, I will have a long list.
....... Coming back to this. I think for an appetizer I'll have some squash & apple soup like I had once at NECI. And dessert will be pumpkin cheesecake.... Main, still don't know, maybe salmon or some other fish.

Bonus Question:

Do you take any vitamin supplements? If yes, what do you take?
Calcium and D, fish oil, sometimes extra C.

Just for Fun:

Today is No Socks Day. Roughly how many pairs of socks do you own?
Though you'd think I'd have a lot because of our cold winters I probably have fewer than five pairs. Of the few pairs I have my favorite are the Smart Socks my daughter gave me.

National Teacher's Day... Yesterday parents brought in breakfast foods. I don't normally eat breakfast, but there were some banana chocolate chip muffins I couldn't resist. Every year at this time we get spoiled by the parents sending special things in each day. It is very much appreciated!

Have a great day, all!

Afternoon all from sunny Cyprus!! The last electrical device to break down was a television. Went out and bought a new one. Costs more to get things fixed these days. No socks day huh? I always wear socks. Got some on now with my trainers. White socks....... saw a picture of Tom Cruise yesterday. White ankle socks and sneakers!! If it's good enough for Tom, it's good enough for me.....

Today’s Question:

What was the last electrical/electronic item that broke down at your place? Not really broken, but 3 lightbulbs went out in the kitchen at the same time recently. Otherwise, it would probably be my iron. I'm always dropping them and breaking them. I've probably owned a dozen irons in my life.
