There are plenty of parking meters in the county where I live but I can't think of any in my town.
I don't remember the last time I parked at one, maybe 2 months ago.

No vacations planned. I'm traveling to the Raleigh, NC area at the end of the month to visit a friend. I'm planning a 3 day trip.

This past weekend I went to Atlantic City to see a show.

I took a California vacation in January. I went to San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the most beautiful place I have ever been to - La Jolla.

Overall, I'd prefer several short trips.

Just for Fun:

I bake good banana bread. Never made anything else homemade from the list above.
I often cook my own food. Too many dishes to name but nothing too complicated.

Have a great weekend!

Today's Question(s):
Its "Watch Day" so lets talk about Watches

Do you wear one ? Only when I go out ... I hate not being able to tell time and don't wanna rely on my cell phone. As a mass transit rider, it is critical to know the time.

How many watches do you own ? One functioning watch. I have another watch that isn't functioning that have the 10 Commandments on it ... Cool watch that I need to get the battery replaced

Do you remember when "Swatch Watch" became popular in the 80's ? Vaguely ....

Did you own one ? No

Bonus Question:

It is also parking meter day

Are there parking meters in your town ? Maybe in the Downtown section ... There are tons of them throughout the LA Metro area.

When was the last time you parked at a Meter ? I don't drive but I've been with others who needed to use the parking meters.

Extra Credit Question:

Who has vacation plans for this summer ? Oooh! Ooooh! *Raises hands*

When it comes to taking a vacation do you prefer:
One long trip ? If it's someplace that is different and fun
or
Several short trips ? This is also nice especially if you can get your friends to go with ya.

Which of the above have you most recently done ? I did a few days in Dallas last Christmas ... Not my ideal vacation place as there was no sight-seeing involved and too much family drama ... Probably won't be doing the proposed Louisiana Christmas get together this year

Just for Fun:

Have you ever tried making homemade:
Bread ? Yes ... Irish Soda Bread ... Came out kinda mushy but was delicious
Ice Cream ?
Butter ?
Wine ?
Beer ?
Other ?
Spinach pizza ... A disaster but that's because I foolishly used canned spinach and did not drain .... Hey! I was probably 18-20 years old so I did not know any better! LOL!

I also made homemade Manicotti which was delish using Alfredo sauce versus marinara sauce

Its "Watch Day" so lets talk about Watches

Do you wear one?
No.

How many watches do you own?
Three or four.

Do you remember when "Swatch Watch" became popular in the 80's?
Yes! I gave one of the Keith Haring Swatches to someone as a gift. I wonder if he still has it. I hope so. It's worth over $1,000 now! (Not sure why that link says Father's Day is June 24. It's June 17 this year. Weird.)

Did you own one?
Unfortunately, no. If I had, I would have kept it. Then maybe I'd have $1,000 burning a hole in my pocket today!

Bonus Question:

It is also parking meter day

Are there parking meters in your town?
No.

When was the last time you parked at a Meter?
A few years ago.

Extra Credit Question:

Who has vacation plans for this summer?
Not I!

When it comes to taking a vacation do you prefer:
One long trip?
or
Several short trips?
One or two one-week vacations plus five or six four-day weekends.

Which of the above have you most recently done?
Long weekends.

Just for Fun:

Have you ever tried making homemade:
Bread?
I've made banana-cherry bread and cranberry-orange tea bread, but I've never made any kind of sandwich/yeast bread.
Ice Cream? No.
Butter?
No.
Wine?
No, but I know people who do.
Beer?
No, but I know people who do.
Other?
Cinnamon-sugar. I had a craving for cinnamon toast not long ago, and I was out of it. Yes, I actually looked up the measurements online.

I'd like to make pretzels and a dipping sauce. Maybe I'll try making these:
