Default Today's Peeve of the Day, Friday 15th June.

Good morning peevers.

Thanks again for all your lovely posts from yesterday. I made a comment there if anyone wishes to see it.

Magnum Mike dropped me a note recently which commented on anti social behaviour in and around the swimming pool.

This had been prompted by the thread on peeing in the pool!

So, with thanks to Mike, and with summer coming up, the POTD is;

Anti social behaviour around the pool (or other public places).

I try to avoid those areas with bad social behavior, and I never use a public pool.

Yuck!!! Not a pleasant thought, but sure does make you think before getting in a public (I don't use "public" pools either, unless that would include ones at hotels and that has been a while) or ANY pool for that matter. Disgusting. Don't understand why people just don't get up and walk to the proper place to do that.

You said social behavior around the pool or other public places and I know something else that bugs/irks me. People that can carry on act like they are the only ones somewhere taking no consideration of others around them. Like they "own" where ever it is. Which could include both the way the way they act/behave as well as talk/speak (cussing, volume, talking about improper subject(s), etc) Those are a couple that I would include in those that irk/bug me about some people's behavior in public places.

The trick is to simply drink a little more than everyone else.

I love swimming with the shorties in the neighbors pool and in lake Michigan. I always swim in hotel pools and that's a prerequisite to booking a room. There are scarier infections in pools and urine is the least of which anyone should be concerned about. The key is to take a shower and wash your hair after swimming. People with compromised immune systems should never swim in a lake or pool. Hot tubs are really bad as well. I love being in water.

Good peeve! If we didn't abhor anti social behavior, we'd be . . . . . . anti social!

Thanks Jezer, there are so many ways for people to show their anti-social behavior, besides doing some disgusting things in swimming pools. The worst part about this is when children see this kind of behavior and think it's acceptable.
