Today's Question Monday, 18 June 2012
Good Monday morning, all, and welcome to the start of another busy week! It’s going to be a scorcher here in south-central Wisconsin, with heat indices in the 90s for much of the week. I suppose it’s an appropriate way to welcome the first day of summer in just two more days, though I’d be perfectly happy if it was about ten degrees cooler.
But since the heat is on, we might as well add to it by chatting together about:
Today’s Question(s):
Let’s talk about taxicabs! When did you last take a cab ride? In January when I was in Boston.
Where were you going on that cab ride? Just back to my son's house. I had been downtown and I wasn't sure of the BMT lines.
Have you ever gotten a ride from the “cabbie from heck” who scared the pants off of you with his/her driving? no. but, then I rarely take cabs.
Bonus Question:
Today is International Picnic Day! If I visited your community, where would you suggest that I go for a picnic?
Cowell Beach. It is right on the Pacific Ocean and the amusement park is right next door.
What is your favorite thing to take to a picnic? some kind of salad.
Do you have a picnic table in your yard or on your deck? yes, but it is very small, more like a bistro table.
If so, when did you last use it? quite awhile ago; I would rather go somewhere else.
Extra Credit Question:
It’s also Go Fishing Day today! Who here is a fisherperson?
I used to go with my Dad. He had a boat on the LI Sound and would check the tide calendar and was usually out on the water by 5:30 or something. I rarely joined him and I would love love love to go fishing with him once more.
