Good tip and reminder for me to check my tires! Somehow I've ended up with three pencil gauges in my car kit. So now the dial gauge is on my shopping list!

Good safety tip Pam. DYK most tire shops will check your tires and add air for free. We live near 2 tire shops and get ours checked regularly. They'll also let you know if they are wearing evenly to prevent any future problems.

I didn't know that! I should first go in and buy the digital gauge and then get the freebie tire check! Thanks for the extra tip!

Pammy this is a good tip... I live in an extremely hot climate and u see people on the side of the road frequently with tire issues... My know it all kid needed this tip... he drove our car w/o checking the tire pressure and ruined the newest tire and I ended up having to buy a set of new ones for the peace of mind and let me tell ya you could almost buy another used car for what they charge for tires... So great tip!

Great tip Pam, thanks! I try to check tire pressures on a regular basis, usually at least once a month. I need to get a newer, better gauge though.

Mine does too but I'm not sure I trust it. Wonder if Snap-on tools makes a good gauge?

Here's what I use;

G.H. Meiser & Co. - World's Premier Maker of Precision Tire Gauges

I don't trust anyone else's gauge.
