Ahh! Sometimes I feel like being extremely spontaneous. Right now I feel like packing my hiking back pack and going to visit my family. Maybe in the summer What do you feel like doing RIGHT now? And whats the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?

Unfortunaley, spontaneity doesn't fit in with my limited funds hehe

Ha. Impulsivity is my middle name. I have ADD...sometimes it is not so much being spontaneous, as it is just running and jumping without looking or even caring. Or thinking....just do it. I do so much spontaneous stuff...it is hard to identify one particular thing. Completely random. Money has nothing to do with it...think it, do it....worry about trivial things like consequences and money later...

Don't have any immediate impulses at the moment, but I did ask my fella to marry me one day walking thru the mall. He said yes and we recently celebrated 17 years.

Im a spontaneous person and have done a few things, but remember when I lived in Az, a few times, was on my way home from work and decided that insrtead of getting off the offramp, I kept driving, all the way to Calif to visit my kids. Always keep a backpack in my truck with an extra change of clothes and a jacket, fpr those type of moment. Another time, shortly after separating from my (then) husband, my kids and I were bored on a Friday night, so I called some friends in Oxnard (Calif) we were only a couple hours drive away, we all jumped into my van and drove to Oxnard for the weekend. It was about 9pm when we left, but my friends were all nighters, usually up till about 2am every weekend anyway so it was good to see them. I also remember once, one day, my boss called all of us and told us we didnt have to go to work, instead, he was taking a couple of us out to go hiking for the day and have lunch. Didnt get home till late but it sure broke the monotony!

I quit a few dead end jobs. Once I went to lunch and never went back. All I saw was a bleak future of an automaton with low wages. Just wasn't worth the effort. So... I said bye bye!

One time many moons ago, after school, a car load of us went driving into the mountains on a hot day we came upon a nice river and decided to stop shed all our clothes and jump into the water. Later a Ranger came along and made us get out and get dressed. Fun days back then...

The most spontaneous thing I ever did was my first visit to America in 1988. I had wanted to go from when I was a kid, reading my Superman comics, and watching US telly shows and movies. The years passed, I got married, had two children, worked hard, but never seemed to be able to justify fulfilling my dream. There always seemed something more important to spend money on. My dad became ill, and when he came out of the hospital stayed with me. We talked about all sorts of things those two weeks before he died. I told him my dream. He said "times passing David, you work hard, do everything you can for your family, you should go and see America." He died at the end of 1987. I went into a bit of a depression. Then, in the summer of 1988, I was approaching my 35th birthday, I suddenly thought "I'm going to America, I want to see it, just once." I was in the middle of town, on my way home from work. I went into a travel agent's, booked a flight to New York for the week after, and a two week Greyhound bus pass. I went home, and told my wife what I'd done. I'd been acting a little crazy since my dad died, so I think she was glad to see the back of me for two weeks, we divorced four years later. So, off I went, I had no hotel booked, I got off the bus near Grand Central Station, and walked a while, found a little hotel near the United Nations building. I booked in for a couple of nights, had a good look round Manhattan, enjoyed that, especially how familiar everything was to me from the movies. Then I caught a bus out heading for California. I got off in Ohio!! Spent a few days going from place to place, met some nice people, I was quite the novelty!! Ended up staying in a casino in Atlantic City, then back for a few days in NYC. That was some trip. I've been back to America many times since then, with my wife Judy, can't get enough of it!!
