A Chinook (helicopter) in the distance when you know it's coming to you to pick up a casualty that really needs it.

I also know a medic that describes it as being the worse sound in the world...

Oh, seriously! I love that!

The words most often heard from her mouth before the birth: "I can't!"
The words most often heard afterward: "My baby! My baby!"

The sound of a newborn baby's first cry.
The sound of rain coming down.
And of course, the sound of the little creek just down the street from here.

Every sound I hear is a reminder of how sometimes we take things for granted, it also reminds me to be thankful for the Good Lord, who gave us the ability to hear every sound, even if the sound is annoying.

A train whistle in the distance, at night.

My sister's voice (nearly identical to mine!).

Raindrops plopping on the huge leaves of my hostas.

Arrrraaaarraaa! It is way to loud in here!

So, silence. Let me say I like to hear.....

Spoiler
Opps! I have to add one thing without disturbing the silence up above! I love the wind in the trees.

My town is in a forest, might as well be with all the huge trees. My apt. has a small row of trees left over from before develop came in, I can imagine what a forest it used to be.

I love the sound of the trees rustling in the breeze, esp. in a storm. They have quite a presence then!

Nothing else sounds like a C-5 ..... We have them landing and taking off just a few miles away all day long. One almost squatted on our house back in the 80's or early 90's.
