Hmm, Credit Unions- I'll have to look them up.

It does sound by reading your posts that smaller can be better.

We still have an active US bank account.

We switched to a credit union years ago and have never had a problem since. When I had B of A it was a constant nuisance.

Banks are evil and I avoid them as much as possible. They exist to make money for the few shareholders at the top, and do pretty much nothing for their customers but find ways to take their money. Every fee they charge you is to put money in those shareholders' pockets. I'd put my money in a mattress if banks were the only option. Fortunately, they are not.

I love my C.U. I've been banking there since I was 16. Forty sdewq years! (OOoops.....typo!) I have a really funny story about how they cleared up a financial matter in my favor about 10 years ago, but it would take too long!!!!

Now, all other banks can kiss my buhunkus!
