Default Are You Happy With....

your career choice or if had a chance to do it over again what would you have chosen? (Kids are getting older and this is a subject that came up at the dinner table so, I thought it would be interesting!)

By the way if you can add what you are that would be great and if you are happy.

Right now - Yes....

I work from home, so it fits into my life - very well.

It's not what I want to be doing - for the rest of my life, though.

So, with that said - I'm not sure what other career I'd choose....

I have 2 small kids - So, I don't have to worry about childcare right now - My other half has an excellent paying job with excellent benefits - Between his and my paycheck we do quit well....

But - there's always a but....

Once they're both in school, then I'll be looking for a career change.

When I delivered my first child, I said in the hospital, "I want to be a nurse and take care of babies". that is exactly what I do, NICU and I wouldn't change a thing. What I would like to do is go part-time, which I am in the process of doing so I can spend more time with my kids.

That is sooo beautiful!!! Funny cause that is what my 16 year old said, she wants to take care of babies!!! You are very much thought of, your job is very important as far as a woman in labor is concerned and I might add, a big thank you, for chosing the career that you did!!!!

My job is more a matter of landing fortuitously in a great career, rather than a matter of choice. I maintain, repair, and install power systems and am the shop foreman. Yep, no one else was dumb enough to take that job. Every day is a challenge, no day is the same as yesterday.

I have a good job, I enjoy the work but I'm tired of shift work, I'm happy how things have turned out but my choice would have been to be in forestry.
Ask me agian in 10 years and I might feel differantly.
