Today's question only knows three chords, but it's having fun.

Today's Question:
If you had 100 free music lessons - instrumental or vocal - at your disposal, would you take them yourself or give them away?

If gifted, who to?

If learning an instrument, which one?

From opera to country and everything in between - what styles of music will the lessons mostly be in?

At the end of the hundred lessons, the student gets to perform a duet- instrumental or vocal - with the musician of their choice. Who do you hope it will it be?

Bonus Question:
How are you with punctuation:
People come to me for help
I get by
Comma splices are my friends

Foodie Question:
It's Apple Tree Day. So how do you like them apples?
Srsly, fresh or cooked, sweet or savory, how do you like apples?

B) Someone who really wanted it and can't afford the lessons.
C) Electirc guitar. Myself, I'd like voice lessons.
D) Rock

Today's Question:
If you had 100 free music lessons - instrumental or vocal - at your disposal, would you take them yourself or give them away?
Ever since I was a little girl I adored music and longed for music lessons, but never got to have them. When I was a teenager we finally got a piano, but my two younger stepsisters (who were not musically inclined or even particularly interested) were the ones who got the lessons. I was told that I was "too old." I tried to teach myself using my sisters' lesson books, but I didn't get very far, and then my parents sold the piano. So of course I would love to have the lessons now because, even at 64, I refuse to believe that I am "too old."

If learning an instrument, which one?
Piano
From opera to country and everything in between - what styles of music will the lessons mostly be in?
American popular songs of 20th century composers such as Gershwin, Porter, Kern, Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, etc.
At the end of the hundred lessons, the student gets to perform a duet- instrumental or vocal - with the musician of their choice. Who do you hope it will it be?
My cousins. Two of them play keyboards professionally.

Bonus Question:
How are you with punctuation:
People come to me for help I have often been asked to proofread, so I must know something.
I get by
Comma splices are my friends

Foodie Question:
It's Apple Tree Day. So how do you like them apples?
Srsly, fresh or cooked, sweet or savory, how do you like apples?
Homemade apple pie or plain apple slices with a splash of lemon juice to keep them from browning
Which kinds of apples do you like best?
Fuji, Pink Lady, Gala or Honeycrisp

Just for fun:
Tell us one of your favorite episodes of:
SchoolHouse Rock? Never watched it.
The Brady Bunch? Never watched it.
Another TV show? I never get tired of the "Vitameatavegamin" episode of I Love Lucy.

Thanks, bjh!

Hi, bjh, and thanks for our questions today!

Today's Question:
If you had 100 free music lessons - instrumental or vocal - at your disposal, would you take them yourself or give them away?
Oh, I'd take them myself. Wish I had the time!

If learning an instrument, which one? I'd go back to piano again. Took four or five years of lessons as a kid/teen, and I wish I hadn't stopped.

From opera to country and everything in between - what styles of music will the lessons mostly be in? All classical, all the time. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Telemann, Haydn - there aren't enough years for me to learn all the music I'd want to assimilate.

At the end of the hundred lessons, the student gets to perform a duet- instrumental or vocal - with the musician of their choice. Who do you hope it will it be?

Oh, dear goodness me - what a question! I cringe at the thought of inflicting my lack of talent on any of the great musicians I can think of.

Bonus Question:
How are you with punctuation:
People come to me for help
I get by
Comma splices are my friends

I'd like to think that I'm pretty good. My co-workers ask me for proofreading help on a near-daily basis.

Foodie Question:
It's Apple Tree Day. So how do you like them apples?
Srsly, fresh or cooked, sweet or savory, how do you like apples?
Any way I can get 'em! Loves me a good apple pie, and my spouse makes *THE BEST* homemade applesauce in the world. And there's nothing quite so wonderful as biting into a crisp, juicy, sweet-tart apple fresh off the tree.

Which kinds of apples do you like best?

For pie or applesauce, I like Granny Smith. They're tart enough to set up a complex and wonderful flavor mix in a cooked apple dish. For just eating, a good old-fashioned MacIntosh is the best in the world, especially when they're fresh.

Just for fun:

Sorry, I don't watch television.

Today's Question:
If you had 100 free music lessons - instrumental or vocal - at your disposal, would you take them yourself or give them away?
I'd like to take them myself but - although I love music - I just don't seem to have any talent or ability to actually play it. Perhaps I could have conducting lessons!

If gifted, who to?

If learning an instrument, which one? I'd pick the piano.

From opera to country and everything in between - what styles of music will the lessons mostly be in? Blues. Absolutely. Positively.

At the end of the hundred lessons, the student gets to perform a duet- instrumental or vocal - with the musician of their choice. Who do you hope it will it be?
Of those who are still alive, I'd choose BB King.

Bonus Question:
How are you with punctuation:
People come to me for help (when I was working I was a bit of a grammar nazi - am more laid back about it now)!
I get by
Comma splices are my friends

Foodie Question:
It's Apple Tree Day. So how do you like them apples?
Srsly, fresh or cooked, sweet or savory, how do you like apples?
Definitely cooked, preferably sweet - ideally in a pie.
Which kinds of apples do you like best?
I don't know enough about the varieties of apple - never buy them.

Just for fun:
Tell us one of your favorite episodes of:
SchoolHouse Rock? Don't know this one.
The Brady Bunch? Never watched this regularly.
Another TV show? While I enjoy quite a lot of TV shows, I never remember them once they're over. This is quite handy when repeats are on, as I don't recall seeing them previously!

Thanks bjh.

Hope everyone has a fabbo Sunday.
