I absolutely love this show!!!!! I already have the first 2 seasons on DVD and have pre-ordered the third from Animal Planet.

Hm... do you mean favorite living meerkat? or favorite all-time?

My favorite "current" meerkat is Mitch, with Mozart a close second.

My favorite "gone but not forgotten" meerkat vote would have to be evenly split between Shakespeare and Flower.

My cats say they like them all. Especially when they are all running in a group.

Ditto for my cats. It's their favorite show, along with football and hockey.

I cried buckets over Flower.

Not to be morbid or anything but I liked flower.

Getting footage of the cobra etc. was amazing and as sad as it was....all of those meerkats are going to meet pretty violent ends as does everything in nature. I don't know, it makes me appreciate life more when you realize how fleeting it can be...especially for meerkats.

haha I choked when I saw this thread title.

My handle for all my MMORPGs is "Merekitty Manor" ...if I was trying to stay anon on this site, I've much blown it now.

I love that show, and people are stopping me constanting in game (EQ) to say the same!

I've seen a few of these episodes and didn't like Flower at first because I thought she was being mean to a couple of the other ones but I saw the one the other night where she got struck by a snake and died and it brought me to tears.
They are all so cute.
Was Mozart the rebellious one? That would be my favorite. Being different.

Yes, I think in Season One's intro piece they called her "Mozart, the Rebellious One" -- I'd forgotten that!

Now that her wild and crazy younger days are past, she's gone from being Rebellious to Resilient; there's a lesson in there somewhere, I think.

IIRC, the Season One intro ran something like: "Flower, the leader of the group; Zaphod, her dedicated partner; Youssarian, with some social problems; Mozart, the rebellious one; brave little Shakespeare; and the (I forget which adjective, duh) kids."

I love how this season's intro voice-over says "The Zappa, the neighbors from the dark side" while the actual screen shot says "(neighbors from hell)". I guess for something that kids might be watching they didn't want to have get a "L" advisory just from Sean Astin actually pronouncing the "H-word"!
