Years back, Little Ceaser's pizza used to give 2 pizza's for the price of one. their commercial had a jingle that included "pizza Pizza" you know so you got that fact that you got 2 pizzas. Anyway, my sister's family was over and my mom called to order pizzas and was on the phone and ordered " I want a pizza pizza, pepperoni pepperoni and also a pan pan pizza pizza". My sister and I were laughing so hard and when my mom got off the phone she was not happy and told us that is what they were called. We tried to explain that she only had to order the one pizza and the other came with it free.

Ok I'll tell on myself....it was the 80's (yes I remember part of them) and my friends were trying to get me to go see this band....I could figure out why someone would want to go see a deaf leopard. Yes folks it was the band Def Leppard.
Sadly I asked this question out loud.

This was not as bad as my early childhood event, but I had a high school episode that got me a few laughs at my expense.

Picture a school with 88% hispanic student population and I am one of three white kids in spanish class. Got the image? Good.

Now flash to the second day of class when we all have to stand and spell our names using the spanish alphabet. Key point for those not in the know. The spanish letter for J is pronounced jota (HO TA). The spanish derogatory slang for homosexual is joto (HO TOE). When I stood I blanked on which was which and knowing I had a 50-50 chance, picked one to start spelling my name.

Yep. I lost my bet and gave the class a great laugh. Embarrassed my teacher a bit too.

I just remembered a classic with my wonderful family.

While vactioning at the sandy seashore with a beloved older neighbour we found several jellyfish on the shore. We loaded a particularly large one into a small bucket. Our prize catch was deposited infront of our wonderful neighbour who was reclining in her deckchair ... "Ooooo," she said, "Look at it's testicles!"

Try explaining that one!
