I always thought my voice was kind of midrange but when I hear it recorded its higher than I think and I am told when I get excited I talk faster and the voice gets higher.

I've worked with and around children forever so I have a slow clear teacher's voice when I need it.

Accent wise, sometimes nothing and sometimes kind of southern and occassionally I say things with a slight new york accent (comes from living with a new yorker for awhile).

Someone mentioned singing. I do sing and then I'm basically a contralto.

I know that I definitely do not have a radio voice. Not very feminine- but not a man voice!! Just not a girly, breathy voice.

And, everyone who speaks to me- I live in Fl...knows exactly where I am from. I am told I have a strong Philly accent. Which isn't pretty!! I don't hear it myself, but everyone else does.

Isn't it fun?! I am always told I sound "just like" my mom (and the funniest thing is when my brothers call for me or mom - since Hannah and Mamma =mom, sounds so much alike - that when we answer, we sometimes answer the wrong time, but my brothers won't notice it!)

I guess I have a very... high pitch voice (like Kaykay, I'm always told "it carries", but they also add "so it's loud" afterwards...). I mumble sometimes, and talk really loud sometimes (oh, who am I kidding, I'm almost always loud!) and I have accents. NOT just one, but several. Depends on who I am with and what I have been listening to earlier. My Ä (about "ae" or ai in air) are really nasal, and I mean nasal...

I'm up for some time spent with a speech therapist - any suggestions?

I'm like Sweden! I adpoted a heavy British accent until I was about 17, when I moved back to the states, that still carries nowadays. It comes out much more when I'm nervous, or scared, or upset. Kinda like a mood ring changes color with emotion But when I'm back in my "comfort zone" I just sound like any other yankee. You'd have to be listening carefully to catch it then.

I play MMORPGs and use a voice chat serve for them a lot of times... I had to lay low after the first few times in a new one, when I found everyone was taking bets on whether I was a phone sex operator or not. hah!
