I can't hear you .....
So I thought maybe we could try to describe our voices . Is it loud, squeeky, are you a mumbler etc.? Do you speak fast, slow, have an accent etc?
My voice is considered squeeky at times .
Most people ask me what I just said. Which apparently is due to me mumbling.
The accent part is real hard to describe. Even tho I am originally from New York that accent has long disappeared. And I seem to have ended up with a mixture of british and some south. And I am not a fast talker, but my words usually are emphasized and rolled together.
So what say you?

I'm loud and I talk fast. I was told by the Japanese wife of a friend of mine that she could understand me when I spoke because I enunciated very clearly. People who mumble drive me crazy. I'm from Utah and I don't think I have an accent. I would describe my voice as pretty average, nothing relly distinct about it other than the volume. For the most part, my whole family is pretty loud. We're Italian.

I'm 47 but can sound like a 10 yr old on the phone. It comes in handy when answering the phone, I can always take a message for my mother! Both my daughters and I have the same voice. We can fool even family. I do sound slightly nasal, which I hate, but what can you do...

I have been told I have a southern accent. I think I speak clearly....I dont think my kids hear me clearly, but thats off topic. I have not heard another voice like mine. Not in my family, not in the community, not with all of the people I come across everyday.
I can't describe it. I do not like when people mis-pronounce words, use slang all the time, etc. A little is fine. I sound just like ...MYSELF!

I think I sound a little "nasally" with a slight Texas accent! If I sang (which I don't) I would definitely be an alto, not a soprano!... And I've been told "my voice carries" which I think is the nice way of saying "I'm loud!"

I'm more of a baritone. Can be a bit dramatic at times...but just for effect! Wish CD supported .wmv files, then we could uplaod a quick file of our voices! I'd love to hear Kaykay say "Hey y'all!"
