Christmas tree, oh, Chrstimas tree!
I thought I'd get on the Christmas bandwagon since we've had conversations pop up here and there about Christmas already! What kind of Chrstimas tree do you buy? We always buy fake ones instead of real ones b'c it's cheaper and easier to handle. I have friends, however, that only buy real ones because they love the aroma of a Christmas tree permeating through the living room or whever. What about you, CD posters?!

Until a few years ago we always had a real tree and I loved it! Now, we have an artificial one, reason being we can put it up sooner and keep it up longer. The tree is still beautiful, I light scented candles that smell like the real thing and we're good to go! Jeannie

I have a 9.5 ft pre lit artificial tree up in my attic storage that I drag down every year...it's actually beautiful when set up and having the lights already wrapped onto each branch saves a lot of time. I do the same thing as Jeannie does...I have plenty of evergreen/pine scented candles that help make it smell like the real thing. I do have a huge fireplace mantle that I'll decorate with real garland to give the room a nice pine smell also.

I've always had real trees....but admit I'm leaning towards artificial.

I have a live tree in a pot. We dug it up last Christmas at the tree farm. I am super picky about my tree, and will only have a white pine. It is getting huge (apparently it likes the weather in FL) and I am guessing we will have to plant it after this Christmas.
My father in law has 4 monstrous trees in his yard that had been live trees when my husband was a very young boy. I like the idea.

Evey, this will be my first Christmas in my *own* house here and I was thinking about doing something like that. The last two Christmases here we have used little Norfolk pines in pots, which of course we still have. But I was thinking about going for something a bit larger this year.
In Colorado we used to go cut our tree, one of my favorite trees ever was a Blue Spruce.

Our neighbors own a Christmas tree farm so it's easy to go over and chop one down. And cheap well free lol -

My first Christmas in my own house I went a little overboard with the tree. There was this huge vaulted ceiling and I bout a 10 foot tree. I needed a ladder to decorate!
As a kid we used to drive to this mountain, hike up it, and cut down our own. They used to leave one of us kids by a potential tree & continue looking. 10 minutes can be a very long time when left standing alone in the snow on a mountain.
