ksl.com - Judge Booted for Flipping Coin to Decide

Yeah, well, dropping the pants wasnt necessary, he could have had a female officer or member of the court, take her to the back room where that lady could have still had some dignity, if he 'really' wanted to make a decision.
As far as flipping the coin ordeal...... *sigh*

Default Come on, the guy was just doing his job.....

The coin flipping deal sounds fair to me. After all the parents should have worked it out themselves. Too much expecting a super creative result. What if he wanted to cut the kid in half and give them each a piece? To be really fair, he should have let the coin hit the ground. Even then you need at least three folks to read the coin and verify by a sworn vote the actual result. Plus digital pixs of the coin in place and a secret ballot of the peeking pool of experts to make it official.

Yeah, dropping the pants is called for here. None of that back room stuff with a third party witness. That is what judges get paid for, putting the eyeballs on the evidence.

This guy should be on the Supreme Court, just too much talent going to waste.

What a maroon!. Egregious acts in the courtroom are not justice. As the article pointed out, this guy is not exactly a brain surgeon, let alone a judge. His previous behavior was as egregious, in advising a young woman to marry her abusive boyfriend and referring to a teenager as a "wuss" and a " mama's boy". His tenure on the bench should have been terminated after the first of these actions, IMO. Jerks like this give the American justice system a bad reputation (if it didn't have so many miscarriages of justice in previous years and jurisdictions)

Life terms should be done away with, but we ought to allow Cosmic to appoint a few judges here and there.
