Today's Question would like an apology and maybe a coupon.

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
Just as bad?
Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting?

What was it a picture of?

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject?

Any happy little trees?

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home?

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share?

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today?

Yes!

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer.
I've made numerous complaints to LA Metro (mass transit) and Metrolink (AKA MetroSTINK) commuter rail due to service delays and other transit-related issues ... I rarely complain with other companies unless I get extremely poor service, received an inferior product or was overcharged.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
Just as bad?

Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting? Not a painting but I've done abstracts with colored markers ... I had that as a hobby when I was around 17-18 years old. The drawings were pretty good actually

What was it a picture of? Abstracts

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home? Probably a soda when a friend visited.

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share? LOL!

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today? Sleeping in late tomorrow but, alas, gotta be up by five ... Oh! A full-bodied massage

Happy Happy Thursday, wish it was Friday, but getting close

Good nite (for me) CD Folk land

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer.
I complained about about veggie patties from a well known establishment. (that was ok I hope?)

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
Just as bad?
Or worse?

Brushed off was more like it.

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting?paint by numbers

What was it a picture of?
a Xmas tree

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject? Mountains on sunrise in Yucaipa, CA

Any happy little trees?
maybe

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home? Mexican dinner (Carne Asada, refried beans, rice and sodas/beer & wine)..

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share?

don't cook rushed or while your drinking

Just for fun:

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer.
That would have been a month ago at one of the hotels I stayed at while looking for a place to live. The free breakfast they were serving was really lame. I mean really lame. There was this huge serving area with only a few things available. You could tell at one time the hotel probably put out quite the spread. But now they offered so little that one folding table would have been more than enough for the serving line.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
Just as bad?
Did no good to speak to the hotel manager. When I told him other locations of the same hotel brand always put out a top notch breakfast he just said his breakfast buffet was within the chains standards. He pretty much indicated he was not about to spend any more on what he offered.

Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting?
The extent of my painting is slapping on a coat of paint on the side of the house and calling it good.

What was it a picture of?
You must not have been paying attention. I just said all I have done is slap a coat of paint on the side of the house and calling it good.

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject?
My artistic ability is right up there with my singing ability. Putting a paintbrush in my hand while standing in front of a piece of canvas would most likely end in disaster.

Any happy little trees?
Only the ones that do not have to pose for my disaster painting.

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home?
It has been so long since I had guests that I have no idea what I might have served them. Probably gave them a can of beer.

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share?
I have 1,000's of cooking tips. Almost all of them will result in a disaster of one sort or another. A few of them will get you on the evening news with video of fire trucks and your neighbor telling the reporter how she was walking past your house when it just burst into flames. Now having said this, all members of C-D must sign a release before I can actual share any of my tips.

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today?
If someone was to go buy and deliver to me a 42 inch flat screen TV along with a folding table and a couple folding chairs.

Happy Thursday!

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer. Major train service. Had a horrible experience with the train attendant. long story. I wrote a letter of complaint to their head office.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better? not really better but I got a letter of apology.
Just as bad?
Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting? I'm not good at painting anything.

What was it a picture of?

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject?

Any happy little trees?

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home? we had a potluck for Memorial Day and everyone brought a dish or dishes to pass. We had a little bit of everything.

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share? Always make sure you have plenty of food and drinks.

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today? a nice back massage.

Today's Question:

I complained to a well-known fast food burger company that my local one wasn't filling one of their drinks to even close to the top of the cup.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
Just as bad?
Or worse?

As far as I'm concerned it wasn't dealt with at all so I just don't buy it anymore at that particular one.

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting?

Not since my high school final in art class.

What was it a picture of?

My interpretation of George Orwell's Animal Farm. I got a very good grade, too, but definitely not for the artistic talent.

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject?

Kindergarten kids paint and draw better than I do so I'd probably go for the obvious - flowers.

Any happy little trees?

Sure throw them in, too.

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home?

Ravioli

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share?

No

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today?

good health

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer.
I am never backwards in coming forwards if I have a complaint - I either phone (my first choice) or send an email. Last time was a frozen meal advertised as a "beef hot pot" that contained 60% gravy (the ingredients list was written in such small type I didn't see it until I got the stuff home), 8 tiny lumps of gristly meat and a smattering of unidentifiable vegetables. I wasn't expecting perfection, but I did expect a decent serving of beef!

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
They were decent about it and sent me a $10 gift card, which was several dollars more than the product cost. However, I have not bought any of their products since and have no plans to do so.
Just as bad?
Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting? Yes - lots over the years.

What was it a picture of?
Abstracts mostly as they work better to disguise my lack of ability!

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject?
I'll keep going with abstracts.

Any happy little trees?
No, but I liked drawing trees when I was a kid.

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home?
Drinks, then dinner (roast lamb with all the trimmings), then more drinks, then a bed for the night. Breakfast was serve yourself as I can't stand the sight and smell of food first thing in the morning.
Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share?
Prep whatever you can prior to the guests' arrival, and keep it simple so you can socialise rather than spend all your time in the kitchen. Cook things that aren't time-critical so the meal isn't ruined if you get too caught up in the socialising!

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today?
A massage - my bones are a bit sore today.

Thanks bjh.

Happy Thursday to all.

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer. It was for a product I ordered online. First of all there was a 3-month delay in getting my product. Once I finally received the product, it didn't work as advertised, even though I followed the directions that came with it. Dealing with the customer service department (I think they were overseas) was an exercise in frustration.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better?
Just as bad? <--This
Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting? Back when I took an art class in school.

What was it a picture of? Some kind of landscape with trees and mountains.

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject? Maybe a vase of flowers or a bowl of fruit.

Any happy little trees? That's a definite maybe.

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home? A "light lunch" of sandwiches, beverages and fruit.

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share? Advance preparation will REALLY come in handy!

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today? Having a 1-hour session at the massage/reflexology spa I went to last weekend. It was WONDERFUL!

Have a fun and fabulous Thursday!

Today's Question:
Without naming company names, tell us about a time that you made a complaint as a consumer. There have been several times. Mostly with eateries. Have gotten free meals for my inconvenience. A few products I've contacted the mfg or supplier and received either a refund or coupons for future purchases. The secret to complaining is to be diplomatic about the ordeal and lay out all the facts precisely as they happened.

Was the situation dealt with in a way that left you feeling:
Better? XXX
Just as bad?
Or worse?

Bonus Question:
Have you ever made a painting? With a 'by the numbers' paint set.

What was it a picture of? Mountain scene.

If you were going to start a painting, what would you choose as a subject? A nude.

Any happy little trees? Oh they be happy!

Foodie Question:
Whether it was just drinks or a full meal, what did you last serve guests who visited your home? Beer and wine with a Chinese meal of Chow Mein and noodles and such.

Do you have any cooking or hosting tips to share? Don't invite too many people at one time, too many dishes to take care of afterwards.

Just for fun:
What would make you as content as a purring cat today? No fur balls to deal with.

Enjoy your Thursday, make it the best you can, if you can't then say, screw it, and just smile...
