Well said and I agree!

I also miss the different colors of Fall.

the fresh air....lightly scented with pine and salt air

the amazing tides in the Bay of Fundy

sea kayaking with the porpoises playing nearby

camping under millions of stars....and looking up at night and seeing them

northern lights

snow!!

summers that aren't too hot, and that cool down at night so you can sleep well and only a little humidity!

Boston Red Sox

the fall colors....the bright blue October sky....the smell of the leaves, and the sound they make walking through them and jumping in them

there's just not enough room to type out everything I love....

Default Things I LOVE (MISS) about the North

Driving over to Canada (in like 30 minutes)

Frankenmuth, Mackinaw Island, Traverse City ~ Michigan

Going to the UP

I miss the snow, but not the 20 below zero temperatures

Four real seasons

Cider Mills

Excellent Thai and Lebanese restaurants

Having all my childhood friends within a 20 minute drive of my house

Midwest humor

Being able to talk sarcasm and being understood

Getting outta the car to whip someone's a$$ when they cut you off (can't do that in the South )

I love the authentic Italian food. Even upstate NY had wonderful Italian restaurants.

I'm thinking about opening up an Italian restaurant in Sarasota but I don't have the resources right now.

I also miss the no nonsense attitude. You know exactly where you stand. (Unfortunately that's not good when driving--I'm still working on that!)

I miss having a white christmas. I also miss how great everything smells in the spring when the ground thaws.

The color of the tress in the fall

Toronto and Niagara Falls (ironically when I was younger I could never understand why family would always come up and be excited about these places. But now I miss both)

Shopping

The ease of getting around in NYC

The variety of bakeries, and restaurants

3 wings and fries from the Asian restaurants

Loganberry juice

Haddock

square pizza
