Black Friday - Day After Thanksgiving Shopping Hell (or Excitement?)
So do you look forward to the big day after Thanksgiving? Do you buy all your gifts then? Just big purchase items? Only small gifts or a mix? Or do you just avoid going out that day at all costs?
I used to look forward to it b'c it was fun going with my parents ... kind of a tradition I guess but now I dread it. I still go but I'm not as "gung-ho" about it as I used to be!

Stay home, eat some leftovers, enjoy my wife's company, maybe play a few games.
Go to the store? With all those crazies? Not in my lifetime...

Perhaps you should also look for a nice Nativity scene.

I love it!!!
Since I'm as usual almost done, I use the ads to buy ME presents...just kidding...ok somewhat.
And since I already have 3 nativity sets , I usually don't buy any decorations.
I look for the big ticket items and go down from there.
This year it's a GPS. So I'm gonna start at Office Depot then head to the mall.
Part of my fun on Thanksgiving morn is plotting my stradgey looking at the ads.
I have a network of friends that work together, but I go by myself.
After having family around for two full days before it's nice to get out.
While I'm gone hubby gets the Christmas decorations down.

Usually, I have to work the day after Thanksgiving. (I have worked for a hospital, 2 banks and a car dealership all of which are certainly open the day after!) I ususally try to avoid the traffic of all the shoppers! anyway, though. Don't get me wrong-I love to shop... but not on that day! I did sneak down to Kohl's last year on my lunch hour, but I try to avoid the malls like the plague!

Our sears store usually get about three of each advertised item and the employees get them before the first customer comes through the door.

You know, I know this sounds reallystupid but that's one of the reasons I like to go! It's great seeing everybody so excited about buying stuff. I have yet to see an "angry mob" like they show on the news sometimes. Generally speaking, you have happy campers gettin' stuff for the people they love. I like to people watch so this is usually a great time to do it!
