Pink Dolphin
A friend of mine just sent me some photos of a "Pink Dolphin". Being the "doubting Thomas" that I am I logged onto snopes.com to check the authenticity/reliability of the info and sure enough - it turned out to be true! According to a source cited on snopes.com, this is the third reported sighting of an albino bottlenose dolphin in the Gulf of Mexico since 1994 and only the 14th sighting anywhere in the world since 1962. If you'd like to take a peek at some photos as well as information provided by Captain Erik Rue of Calcasieu Charter Service, here's the link:

ohhh... it looks like it's a burn victim or something!
But very rare looking, I hope they leave it alone to be happy, and not try to capture it and make a spectacle out of it!

Fiddle - You're right - that lil' guy/gal does look odd and will definitely have additional challenges as a result of the lack of pigment. Somewhere in the information provided, they said that the life expectancy could be reduced based on the animal's albinism.

Awwwww......awesome sight, but, I am so sad for reading about the life expectancy of that beautiful little one.
Breaks my heart.
I just hope, and agree, that people will leave it alone...instead of flocking there, ruining everything again....like we usually do.

My mind must be in the gutter but when I saw the title, I thought it was talking about a vibrator.
