lol you guys are quick
rofl I too have had the "headband" experience

I was torn between 2

Like 2goldens I had the shag

but a close runner up had to of been the time my mom took me with her to her weekly hair apt (lol remember when women would get the "do" once a week) to get the special treat of having my hair done. lol this was the late 60's and I think I was in 6th grade
I came out with the "that girl flip" complete with bouffant puffy teased top.
Wait, lol, now I know why I "revisited" the puffy teased top in the 80's "Cuisin-hair" as we use to call it, because it looked like your head got stuck in a Cuisinart. It reminded me of the special times I had with "mom"

I don't know why I did this but I got one of those perms back in the early 80's luckily it fell out in a few short weeks. Goofiest haircut i've ever had, felt like Greg Brady.

Red face Big Jersey Hair

Yes I too have fallen prey to Big Jersey Hair. NO PHOTOS. They were burned with my Ex.

But before that in the early 80's I did the "feathered" look.

Then I discovered a curling iron and "Stiff Stuff" brand hairspray. LOL-

Not to be missed was the "Spiral Perm"
I let my hair grow long and hated it straight. So I tried my gyspy look/aka Stevie Nicks long loopy curls and got Spiral after Spiral. My friend (the hair dresser) tried stacking the rods several different ways to achieve maxium Spiral Curls. I guess at the time, I was the cat's meow.... Oh heck, I still am with my medium length mature Mommy -bob goin' on....

I posted this picture on here before, but I'll do it again.

No this is not a mug shot, it's my ATM/Bank card, circa late 1983, with some sensitive information blocked out. That was of course before mother nature took over and did its thing about 10 years ago with the receeding hairline.

Sad to say, near the beginning of the 90s, when I was in middle school, I was on the Big Bang trend...where the bangs were up to the sky...it was the days!
