Default Which Is More Correct - "Yall" or "You Guys"?

"Yall" or "You guys" - which MAKES MORE SENSE (NOT which do you use or which do you prefer).
"Yall" could be considered a contraction of "you all".
"You guys" could be considered similar to the practice of countries which refer to groups of males and females with a male title.
I know that this may lead into a Northern vs Southern discussion. Northernerns have long made anyone who uses "yall" feel inferior.

For me personally, where I come from "you guys or you all" is the preferred usage.

The British often refer to each other as 'blokes' or 'Mates' and since they invented the english language I guess that is the correct term. If you want to be picky.

True, they are slang and I cheerfully use both.

When I lived in New York, it was youse.
In California and Colorado, it was you guys.
Seems like "you lot" is sometimes used in the UK.
Where I am now it is y'all and I've gladly embraced it.

Obviously I speak appropriately if in a more formal setting.
