Default Lottery/Gambling Winnings

What's the most you've ever won gambling or playing a lottery?

Back in 1991, when I used to play the lottery, a ticket, which had numbers I selected, matched 5 of the numbers that were drawn, and the prize was around $1,300. That was the good news, the bad news was, I had to share it with 20 other people who were in the lottery pool at the office.

The most I've ever won by myself was $100, when I matched 4 of the numbers in the Power Ball Lottery, that was in 1999, just before I stopped playing, since it's a form of gambling.

How about you?

I l u v gambling but I hate to lose so I don't do it very much. I'm over those days when I was willing to lose up to $100. After I lost $500 crossing a hotel lobby in Vegas one year, I thought I would die, and I was there for a week. This was on my way to the elevators, just checking in to the hotel. What was I going to do all week?????
I was at a conference so some of my time was gambless then I played tourist and in left over time, I played poker machines for a quarter. Ended up almost recouping!

But anyhow......I was on a cruise in September. I have to go back on that ship!

With about the first $4.00 in a quarter machine, on the first day, I hit that machine's jackpot. A whole $400.00. Then on a different machine $200 and $100. Kept playing all 5 days and still went home with $700 of the winnings.

Lottery..... don't play it much. Only when it's big and if I remember.

I do remember one time in NY when I was playing this Win 4 combination. It was a Friday and I had been playing those 4 numbers for 3 straight weeks ($1.00 each day). I was playing it straight. That Friday I decided I had had enough and wasted enough money and didn't play it.

You know what happened next right? I lost $6,000. It came out that night- straight!

I once won $1500 from a dollar slot machine in Vegas. I was kicking myself for not maxing out the bet...........

I have won a few hundred dollars here and there at the race track, and a few dollars here & there at the dog track. *disclaimer* I am an animal massage therapist, and my work takes me to the track from time to time.

Thumbs up Try the Salvation Army's Red Pot first!

I’m continuing my “pre-payments” on the “winning” ticket that I’ll get soon.

I think it was about $50 or so on the Az lotto and every once in a while I’ll get a buck for having the powerball number. wow,,,,, don’t know what I’m going to do with all of that?

The best I’ve done was at a “church raffle” I picked up $50 and only spent $5 to get it.

For those who like to save money, I’m willing to sell off my collection of old lottery tickets. The numbers continue to be good one and they’ve never come in yet. I will to let “all” of these special tickets go for half price. DM me if you’re interested and I’ll provide details. I don’t want to see CD forums becoming a place where gambling junkies hang out making deals over the internet.

At a single sitting - $750 playing Blackjack for a couple of hours. Wife won almost as much at the same table. That was the hottest BJ table I've ever sat down at.

Won $600 at BJ another time, but it took 6 hours. Still $100 an hour is pretty good for what I consider entertainment.

Thought you played poker as well...? The only game you can beat in the long run. Unless your the MIT Blackjack team.. which has come back with a really cool twist.

Poker mostly on line. So far about $100 and (3) 4 day Caribbean cruise/4 day Orlando stays.

Have to find 4 more people to take or figure on doing more than one since we have a year to use them.

I am going next Tuesday to play no limit then a tourney. Top spot is usually about $1600 - haven't got it yet, but...

We are planning on practicing card counting the next time we go to Vegas just to see if we can do better.

BTW: Iowa or Texas?
