Ironing isn't a peeve for me because I never do it! Don't even own an iron.

Haven't seen an iron in many a year, probably wouldn't recognize one now.

Mike, you need a woman in your life to calm you down.

Ironing

I haven't ironed anything since the late 1950's. Very few items of clothing we have need ironing, now #1 son at 50+ years old is a whiz at it as his job requires it.

I don't even know how to iron. I miss my steamer. It was far easier.

Wow so much light at 9pm. What time does the sun set there?

Ironing. ROFL

When I was a kid I earned money by ironing for my mother. I got 1¢ for each of my father's handkerchiefs and a whopping 5¢ per pillow case. Mother had a glass coke bottle (remember them?) with a sprinkling plug in it. So, I'd sprinkle these items, roll them up in a towel and take one at a time out and iron it.

When I think of ironing I automatically think of the smell of clean, wet cotton. I like that smell and have not experienced it in decades because my iron has not seen the light of day in over 10 years.

Excellent peeve, Jezer! Most of my clothes need to be ironed before I can wear them, and I hate ironing!

Once I get started it's not too bad, and I can iron a whole bunch of things all in one session. But many times I just quickly iron one thing right before I put it on and go out the door.
