Todays question Monday 12-17-07
A frosty good morning everyone
It is a sunny 32 degrees here in Florida wait lol it just went down 1 degree so it is 31 with a windchill of 25.
I had to dragoon the dogs to go out and they did not "dawdle" as they normally do
The good thing is I can wear the fleece jacket I got when we were with Rance & Sweden up in Alaska.
Ok todays question:
Have you peeked at any of your presents?
We promise not to tell
Today in history:
December 17 1843 - "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens was published in London and immediately sold out. He wrote the story in just two months, beginning in October, 1843 and finishing at the end of November.
2 Words of the day today:
dragoon (druh-GOON) verb tr.
To force someone to do something; coerce.
dawdle /ˈdɔdl/ verb (used without object)
1. to waste time; idle; trifle; loiter:
2. to move slowly, languidly, or dilatorily; saunter.
–verb (used with object)
Today is National Maple Syrup Day

I guess I have, since I bought them all. LOL. I have been buying little things for the kids to give me here and there. I know I won't get anything else, so, there will be something under the tree that is from them and they won't look at me and say Mommy why didn't you get anything?

Yup I did
I stopped at my sisters to pick up our gifts since we won't be flying home.
A couple she had me open because they were "of the christmas theme"
A cute "ho ho ho" top and one the musical stuffed christmas animals I love, especially when you get them all going at once.
The she gave us 2 packages she said not to open till Christmas. Hubbys was wrapped in a box.
Mine was in a gift bag and I knew from the tissue paper the store it came from. I love this store and have many items from there.
"Somehow" the tissue paper became undone, next thing you knew the box "fell out"
So I looked at hubby and said "I am peeking" lol I think he was glad I"peeked" at this and not one of his and yay it was a bracelet I had been looking at for months
Now I an even more excited to open it(yes i put it all back together) on Christmas.
rofl hey at least I waited till we had driven away

I have not yet seen any, but when I see them, I won't.
For me, it is all about anticipation.

Well, I picked out my new shoes so I have seen them. They are a gift from MIL and are wrapped under the tree at her house. She found a deal on window tint and had my windows done 2 weeks ago when the deal was running, so I have seen that. My one good friend & I e-mail a link to the thing we might like to see under the tree, so I know what that is going to be. Husband is afraid to shop for me alone since the year he bought me a BB pistol.
So, I guess there will not be too many surprises, but I have not peeked.

I can't dawdle anymore. I have to dragoon myself off to the aquatic center. It will be hard to go out in this cold weather. Glad we finally got some cold weather though. I can't get in the mood for Christmas shopping without cold weather. I am just going to do it all today. That's the way I do things, put it off and then "slam it."
No, I have never peeked at a present, but I wrapped Christmas presents at JC Penney in Fayetteville the first Christmas I was married. It was the only job I could find after moving there. I don't have to peek. I can usually tell what is in the box just by shaking it just a little.

Technically I know what other people are getting and plus what my MIL has purchased for me. The only surprises are coming from my hubby and my very good friend.

What presents? Who’s giving me something? Where are they? Are they big? Is it something I wanted? There not in the closet or where? Not in the storage unit? Am I close~ am I getting warmer? Are they big or little?

Haven't peeked at any, but I have bought myself a few and they are what I really wanted...does that count?
