Good morning peevers.

I've been doing a POTD since January 2011, so it's time for a change!

Here with the start, at least for the time being, of a weekly peeve.

It's off to a great start because one of the thread's great supporters, PAhippo, has come up with one that I can instantly relate to.

Here is what she wrote to me;

Not seeing something that's sitting right there, especially if you're the one who put it there.

Had a pile of magazines/catalogs I wanted to take to the recycling center. Put them by the front door in a pile. It was quite a big pile, sitting there waiting for me when I got back from my recycling center trip.

I only walked by it 3 times. Okay, more than 3 but I will only admit to 3.

Thanks for that- similar things have happened here and we'd love to hear your takes on this peeve, which is;

Darn- I keep forgetting it's there!

Just happened to me! I'd bought some insecticide granules recently. Tore the bag when opening it (zippered) so i poured it into a couple plastic containers with lids. I just searched everywhere for the bag and then it dawned on me. Right in front of me!

Yep, happens more often than I'd like. Spouse just told me recently "it's right in front of you stupid".

Those photos of Wilton House are really impressive. Thanks, Jezer!

Leaving things in plain sight and not being able to find them? That happens to me almost every day. For example, I'll be in the kitchen cooking, and suddenly I can't find my favorite paring knife, the one I use every day and would be lost without. I'll scan the room frantically and practically empty out the drawers in panic, then I'll suddenly notice it lying on the counter right where I left it.

Thanks for using my peeve, Jezer. And putting it with such a beautiful house.

Looks very well maintained. Is it lived in?

The plastic grocery bags that I try very hard not to use since we have a ton of reusable grocery bags.
I keep forgetting to grab those that have made it into the house and take them back to the grocery to be recycled.

Darn- I keep forgetting it's there!

Oh yes... I have four of these very nice/very large reusable food bags that I bought at Sam's years ago that I use for the long transport of cold/frozen food back home from the big city... that is, when I remember to put them back in the auto after one of my shopping trips!

I mean, how could I possibly forget them??? After all, I fold them back up and put them right there under my purse that I always take, so I won't forget them!

Great photos, Jezer, and great peeve PAhippo!
