I miss wearing my regular shoes. I'm still recovering from reconstructive surgeries on both of my feet. It's a 9-month journey so far, and I still have some months to go. I have orthotics in my tennies and have one pair of orthopedic sandals (they're pretty cute, actually) that I purchased through my doctor's office. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be able to wear regular shoes again.

Back in the 40's & 50's the most popular shoes for kids had to be Paul Parrot shoes. I remember this jingle from the old radio days in the evening hours when tv wasn't around.
"paul parrot, paulparrot, the name you ought to buy..they make your feet run faster, as fast as I can fly?"
I do not know how it happened but once while driving in rush hour traffic one of my shoes came off and ended up sideways wedged on top of the gas pedal and under the brake pedal. Was a tense couple of minutes.
A couple weeks ago Mr. CSD told me after we had been out and about for several hours that I actually had on two different color shoes.
I was not aware of that fact and I am sure I looked like a dork, oh well, there are worse things when one is 53 years old I guess.
