Default The War against racial and ethnic stereotypes, who is winning?

It seems like everyone I meet dismisses negative racial and ethnic stereotypes out of hand, They insist they are never right and there is not even a hint of truth to any of them. I wonder if they really believe this or are they trying to be politically correct.

On the other hand, if the stereotype is positive then it seems to be OK. Here are some examples:

Asians value education
Hispanics are family orientated
Hispanics are hard working
Hispanics are very religious
Blacks are great dancers and are good in sports
Jewish people are smart

If people accept positive stereotypes without arguments why not support negative ones also?

the problem with stereotypes is they are limiting and shallow and don't allow for individual expression. better for me to wonder what is behind the person who is wanting to generalize or sytereotype? It says more to me about the person making a racial or ethnic statement of any kind, to me they come off as shallow and ignorant. Not you personally, but in general that's what I think of people who make stereotypes. Generally stereotypes are insulting (even the positive ones) because they assume to know a person or people when they really don't.
