And now for Saturday's Questions

Do you have any artistic talents? Yes.

What are they? Drawing, although I haven't done any in years.

What kinds of paintings/pictures do you like? Old art like Renaissance, frescos, art deco (various media) "from the day", murals (don't know why but I LOVE murals on buildings), pencil drawings, watercolors... Preferred subjects are people, buildings, and scenery. My taste for abstract is very limited.

Do you like the Opera? Don't know. Never sat through one but I don't think I could handle a whole evening of it.

Do you like Ballet? Yes.

Extra Credit Questions:
Wine or Beer?
Computer Whiz or Computer Basic? Husband's the whiz.
Indoors or outdoors? Depends on the season. Starting this week... indoors.
Cactus or Bonsai Plant?
Scuba Dive or Skydive? Haven't done either. Both sounds exciting.
Medium Rare or Well Done? Neither - medium-well for me.
Png Pong or Pinball?
Gas or Electric? Never had gas.
Elevator or Escalator?
Google or Yahoo?
Sweet or Salty? BOTH!
Bracelet or Necklace?

Bonus Questions:
Tell us about your last “good” customer service. That's becoming a dying thing, y'know. Let's see..... I had a helpful rep from my insurance provider who actually advised me to appeal a claim they turned down. Also, the other day I bought a light-up Halloween ghoul that wasn't lighting - battery died. Wasn't sure it wasn't broken

How about the last bad customer service? No problem thinking up examples here! Many with fast-food drive-ups... The worst was my health insurance company. To get responses I had to contact them via a nasty letter through my human resources department, a tactic that always get their attention.

Just For Fun:
It’s time for a round of Scattergories Not today - in a bit of a rush.

Have a wonderful weekend

Gorgeous photo! Have a good weekend, everyone!

And now for Saturday's Questions

Do you have any artistic talents? Yes.
What are they? Singing. I'm best at classical, but do okay with folk and some pop.
What kinds of paintings/pictures do you like? It depends on the setting and my mood. I enjoy a wide variety of art, from baroque to renaissance to modern pop art. I don't care much for still life paintings. I love photography - landscapes, cityscapes, nature, black and white portraiture.
Do you like the Opera? I love to sing operatic arias, particularly the Italian ones. I enjoy listening to opera to a point, but am not crazy about sitting through a 4-hour (or longer) opera at the theatre unless it's a really exciting one with great costumes. Some are, frankly, boring. Others are fantastic from start to finish.
Do you like Ballet? Yes. It's beautiful. It's been quite a few years since I last saw a ballet in Chicago. I need to do that again one of these days.

Extra Credit Questions:
Wine or Beer? Vino.
Computer Whiz or Computer Basic? Basic.
Indoors or Outdoors? Outdoors, unless it's over 85 degrees.
Cactus or Bonsai Plant? Tough choice. Depends on which species. Both are beautiful.
Scuba Dive or Skydive? Skydive.
Medium Rare or Well Done? Medium rare.
Ping Pong or Pinball? Pinball.
Gas or Electric? Gas.
Elevator or Escalator? Escalator. (I prefer to take the stairs unless I'm going up more than 3 floors.)
Google or Yahoo? Google.
Sweet or Salty? Usually salty, except when it comes to chocolate. Although, I prefer very low-sugar, bitter chocolate.
Bracelet or Necklace? Necklace.

Bonus Questions:
Tell us about your last “good” customer service. Two nights ago I was late getting home from work and I was starving. I went through the drive-thru at a Taco Bell and received excellent, friendly service. It was so good that I contacted the store manager when I got home and told him about it.

How about the last bad customer service? Pretty much every time I deal with my health insurance carrier.

Saturday's Questions For Saturday October 25, 2014

Sorry for my absence but I've been busy this week getting things around the farm ready for winter, e.g, mowing, checking antifreeze in radiators, covering coolers, insulating outside pipes, unloading and stacking fuel pellets and building winter houses for the dogs and the cats. I started to say "building cat houses" but .....

And now for Saturday's Questions

Do you have any artistic talents?
Hmmm. Only my grand daughter thinks I can play a decent guitar.

What are they?
Personally, I think my best talent is putting things back together that I take apart, like tractors, scooters, and most recently, my daughter's Nissan Frontier truck....

What kinds of paintings/pictures do you like?
I like sketches and drawings of rural, farm and animal life.

Do you like the Opera?
Well, I've been to the Grand Ole Opry twice.

Do you like Ballet?
Don't know. I've never seen a real ballet performance.

Extra Credit Questions:
Wine or Beer?
Computer Whiz or Computer Basic? I'm no whiz but I'm no basic either.
Indoors or Outdoors?
Cactus or Bonsai Plant?
Scuba Dive or Skydive? In a past life.
Medium Rare or Well Done?
Png Pong or Pinball?
Gas or Electric?
Elevator or Escalator?
Google or Yahoo?
Sweet or Salty?
Bracelet or Necklace? Neither

Bonus Questions:
Tell us about your last “good” customer service.
Walmart.

How about the last bad customer service?
]That would be Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico. They bought out my insurance company mid-season then I lost my local doctor and prescriptions. When I call them, they act like they're more regretful than me that they bought my policy along with my company. Luckily, our open season is in November and I can ditch BCBS like I did thirty years ago.

Just For Fun:
It’s time for a round of Scattergories I'm just too tired tonight.
Starting with the letter “N ” give one answer to each of these categories.

Things that are sticky
Awards/Ceremonies
Cars
Spices/Herbs
Bad Habits
Cosmetics/Toiletries
Animals
Herbs
Leisure Activities
Things that make you smile
Things in a bedroom
Snack Foods

Bonus Questions:
Tell us about your last “good” customer service. About am hour from where we live they opened a new buffet place. My kids love buffets, so we went there. We were getting our food and the lady assigned to our table was getting our used plates off the table as soon as we were done, was bringing us a new refill of our drink without us even asking, so that was really nice.

How about the last bad customer service? A few months ago we saw this new little place with a big sign that said "Shaved Ice". About a week later my oldest son was with me (he has Aspergers) and we thought we would stop and get one each. He went to the counter to see what kind of flavors they had. He asked the man what flavors of Shaved Ice he had. In a very snotty mean way he said "Can't you read, we have snowcones". Well when my son got back and told me what happened I looked and there was a small sign low on the building that said snowcones. I told my son to get into the car and that I would not buy anything from a place that was rude to my children.
