~ Put something unusual into the muffin batter: - Hmm... I tried to bat a muffin one time, but I kept striking out I guess baseball bats don't work very well with muffins..

~ Can you think of any ferns that are living near you? - Hmm... I got a few neighbors, but I don't think any of them have Fern as the last name... I think the Ferns live a couple of blocks away..

~ Do you like plum tomatoes? - Nah... I like Red Tomatoes.. Green or blue ones don't taste very good..

~ What would you like to have to eat with your egg noodles? - Eggs? How the heck do you make noodles out of eggs? Every time I try, I have a hard time slicing the shells.. besides, it gets really messy.. so I quit trying..

~ Did you have something to eat outdoors this year? - I think so..

~ Do you ever see bunny rabbits? - I saw one yesterday.. I think his name is Bugs.. and he asked me.. "Ehhh.. What's up doc?"

Yes, actually! There's a plastic one sitting on top a curio cabinet across the room from me right now. We also have several living ferns outside, although they're slowly starting to die off since it's getting cooler.

For today at least, my computer is working well.

Sure. But I can eat one at room temperature, or even cold. Pumpkin, blueberry, and lemon poppyseed are 3 of my favorites!

I have never done this.

~ Things you may find along the shore:
If you go to the Indiana Dunes you're sure to find lots of gulls, and dead fish.
But you can also find bits of driftwood, feathers, shells, aquatic vegetation, smooth rocks, and smooth rocks with naturally occurring holes. We have special sand here too. It sings (or "barks," depending on your musical tastes )!

I have a nice silicone spatula that I use for just about everything.

We generally don't have ferns just growing around here, but you can find tons of them in the Dunes State Park.

Absolutely! We do some camping throughout the warmish season, so eating outdoors just naturally happens then. My favorite is the "stone soup" we make when on our annual group camp out.
