I found out pancake batter does not work in the toaster as a child... Just trying to save time on Mothers Day
Lol imagine that, but I'm sure you weren't the only one who may have tried that. I make it from Bisquik then pour it onto the griddle using a measuring cup. So many different ways of making them.
And i too, lean more to waffles now too.
I love pancakes, though don't eat them often. I love thick buttermilk pancakes with no butter and some real maple syrup on them. Bacon on the side, please! If real maple syrup isn't available, the only substitute I like is Log Cabin.
Great. Now I'm hungry for pancakes. See what you started, Wild Flower?

Thanks for the tips Wild Flower. I can generally handle a couple pancakes. Syrups are a bit rich for me. I'd take my pancakes plain...not that "Rooty tooty fresh a fruity" stuff.

I do like pancakes and waffles... 'twas something we always had for a Sunday morning family breakfast when the kiddos were growing up... and still do when they're back home!
Of course, then it's time for a nap until Sunday dinner!

Some days a short stack just hits the spot! I don't eat them often. We get a buckwheat mix that's manufactured in the next county; a tad pricey but very reliable. I use cooking spray instead of oil, and start off on medium-high heat, turning it to low after flipping the cake once. One time is the key.
Okay, guess what I'm making tomorrow morning! Hey, it's gonna be somewhere around 7 or 8 degrees. Hot cakes and hot coffee comin' up!
MMMM buckwheat pancakes. That's hard to find. What time is breakies????
For those who love pancakes and will be making many at a time... " Only " $229.00 No audio on this clip... For similar style I see prices in $30 and up range..
